Well more in their budget. But still pretty high for a club that gets that low attendance.

 

Especially considering its 3 years and he is 34. Does anyone really think a 37 year old defoe is going to be worth 65k a week?

 

**** all in the grand scheme of things when you earn over £100m in tv money alone though.

Footballers and clubs have gone far too greedy and the fans are being ripped off big time....Nothing will change of course because from right at the top to the bottom they are all on the gravy train....I would love to see some clubs go bust for paying obscene amounts of money to players just for kicking a bag of wind.....Pay nurses,police, fire £100K a week they are more deserving.

 

Makes me wonder a bit, footballers can get security from a 5/6 year contract but if you really want to go for it, why not sign for 3, leave at the end for free and get a massive sign on fee off someone else.

Yes, but we had underperformed, whereas West Ham had over performed.

 

I'd say West Ham underperformed too tbh. Always going to be tough in first season at OS though.

Expect they'll be much better next year.
