    Apparently, a source at the club says Rodriguez figures being bandied around are wide of the mark, and Saints don't have Maynard on their wish list.

    Yeah pretty much, Adkins says we won't pay well over the odds. Some of the fees are way OTT right now and Saints won't go down that route as we have a financial structure to keep to.

    Basically, they said people were talking about fees of between £4.5m and £5.5m and this is nowhere near what Burnley want (probably around £7m then?), and Nicky Maynard has never been a target.
