Because they want to be English. They dislike the fact they were born on the European side of the channel
If you look at the picture even slightly closer than on a mobile screen, you can see just how badly photoshopped it is. Bah!
Also, the Thickthorn filling station is Shell. (although Bonjour do have outlets here). All in all a bit of a 'flat on your face' moment.
Sky Italia are apparently reporting that he has signed and is bringing his assistant with him although, according to them, neither speak English fluently at the moment.
Well you and Cromer will have to be our go-betweens with the HC then! If we go for a French or Greek HC in the future, I might be able to help!
I've been psyching myself up since the first rumor came out about him. I just knew this would be the case. Hopefully unlike the Watford manager, he'll make an effort and learn the language.
I am sure that there will be no problem. Most Europeans have a basic understanding of English and also tend to enjoy the challenge of learning a new language. Us Brits on the other hand????
An exception to all the other European Managers, Coaches and Players who very quickly learnt the language including the 11 European Managers in the Premiership
I agree 1950. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't have any English given his age. There is plenty of time for him to acquire a working knowledge of the language. I don't think he'd be coming here if he didn't intend to develop that. Mazzarri is very much the exception.
There is always an exception to the rule. Like Dortmund youth coaches who become successful managers.
99% of Germans speak better English than what we do. As do Swedes, Dutch, Slovenes etc. What about Pochettino when he first went to Southampton - did he not have a translator for post match interviews until he got a grip. Doesn't seem to have held him back at all
Has there been any interview? Or does anyone know if a press conference has been set? Has he even signed yet?
