I doubt that there is a Spurs fan anywhere on the planet (other than your strangely brown self) that would not swap your last 2 seasons for ours ... even allowing for the optimistic ones who will be thinking that you might just improve again next season ... you well might of course .... but I suspect that two or even three of the others will improve markedly more (given the funds at their disposal) and a good season for Spurs next time might be finishing in fourth ...

As to your other points above - our 'humiliation' in finishing down the league this season compared to last pales into insignificance when compared to Spurs' humiliation in the two European competitions ... let's just be honest about it

 

Nor would I, provided that we could carry on being Spurs, and not go the way Leicester is going to go.

However, I can assure you, that I have yet to speak to one Spurs fan in the real Word (and I know a fair few, I can assure you) who would take the title if it meant having to go the way that LCFC will go. Not one, Bambs.

No, I wouldn't tell you such a thing, because it's clear that Spurs is already in far better shape than Arsenal, so that in winning the EPL we'd be in even better shape.

The comparison that you are trying to engineer simply doesn't stack up. Nothing is going to induce me into telling you that I'd rather Spurs won the title but at the cost of continually fighting relegation until, inevitably, we get relegated.

However, any outcome that permits a dose of reality, and allows Spurs to continue on its current trajectory, I'm fine with that.
