    Morning all.

Still bitterly cold here with a big dump of snow overnight. They even had snow in Auckland for the first time in 50 years.
We are all right. We lost water for a few hours yesterday but have plenty in our emergency store. The power has stayed on so far for us (though not for everyone). The people I feel for are those with holes in their houses as a result of the earthquakes. It can't be easy to keep a place warm when -5C winds are blowing through.

Imagine you are the West Ham defence. You are facing the storm of the Watford attack and you know there are gaps that you keep having to cover but as soon as you cover one another opens up. You have to do this in the face of the icy chill of your supporters. When it's all over you will decide to up sticks and transfer somewhere, anywherr, else.

Hi guys had an interesting day , any malt whiskey drinkers among you, I can heartily recommend the Aberlour malt ! So smooth , with a lovely glowing aftertaste! Hope you guys and gals are fine , have to pack me bags , before tomorrows trip home ! Its been a lovely stress relieving break and I didnt realise how much I needed it ! Met a fantastic woman today that was born and met the author of Peter Pan she is 84 lives on her own you have a hard walk up a hill to get to her house , she shuns electrical items and has lived on bread ad cheese and whiskey!!! God bless Edith ,you leave her house feeling tremendously uplifted! she writes books ,and is going blind ,to counter that she is learning Braille! I have never met such a can do person ,it brought everything into perspective for me!
