How many times does the condemnation from muslims come with a 'but...' and then comments relating to incidents abroad by western allies? And yes, I respect the fact that the bulk of those that have taken arms against IS are muslim.
Because it is hard to ignore the link when you try to understand the situation. However that does not mean normal Muslims think two wrongs make a right.
He didn't ask you to apologise, he's making the point that you should condemn it out of hand, no more and no less, and not add the 'but', as that renders the condemnation insincere. In case you hadn't noticed, the Germans regularly apologise for Hitler, and the bulk of people condemn what he did, even though he was representing an ideology none of us support, or live by.
If they don't represent your religion, there is no link and they can be condemned full stop. The onus isn't on us to find out, particularly as so many muslims seem to keep referencing it. Every time an attack is condemned, followed by some 'justification' by mention of others suffering, the words ring hollow, even if they're not.
They probably do, but that isn't going to stop these people being indoctrinated. We can scream and shout as much as we want but there will always be a white racist. In this case its an extremist muslim who is willing to die for his cause. How do you stop another andreas breivik or the sandy hook massacre? You can't, you can try as hard as you want, you can't just imprison (i would but i know others won't) people who look at hate material (out of curiousity or cause they have turned) or with psychiatric problems.
And as I said look at the news Condemning is one thing Germans apologising today is pointless But the issue is one of associating germans apologise on behalf of Germans this guy was a Libyan nutcase who I don't have anything in common with
As they're claiming to be muslim, the onus is squarely with you to make that clear, or accept you're going to be lumped together. Call it ignorance by non-muslims if it makes you feel more principled, but that's the reality.
I have condemned them Nope not justifying it....this thread has become a debate as usual when these things happen. Therefore people are allowed to expand their thoughts...the 'buts' are allowed to be discussed.
I can see where the muslim arguments are coming from. Hitler killed the jews as a white christian caring about the white aryan race... pretty much what you are doing with the muslims even though they are different nationalities... oh and the muslims have condemned this attack
It couldn't be more clearer if we are honest. And explanations don't seem to get through. Majority of us here don't see Assad or Saddam or JN as Muslims. It was always forced upon us. JN only because they are suddenly "allies" Terminology that gets used is outdated and comprehensively explained but most se to get their info off Sam shamoun and jihaadwatch. Never the sites that refute them There is a damned if you do damned if you don't feel about it
And the 'buts' quickly read as justification, diluting the condemnation. You may feel it is sad, or disrespectful, but not everyone believes the truth of your religion, or is interested in the factions within it. The onus is squarely with you to make it clear, not labour explanations that run the risk of looking like justification. Many people have little time for religion, or those demanding respect for their choice in it. people are free to choose to be religious, at least in the UK, but people are also free to criticise that choice and implications. Plenty of vids like these that show that there are, or at least has been hatred preached in mosques.
Yup, in the middle...gun to the head from an ISIS soldier because we are British and a boot up the arse from the Western man because it's our problem. I'd say it's 1-0 to ISIS, job done
Your words in this thread make you look like an apologist, disrespectful of those that have lost loved ones. You may not like it, but this isn't a muslim country, although you're free to be muslim, so you have to go that extra mile, or you will be lumped under one umbrella.
Then you need to make your loyalties clear. It's not for others to work out or have to tip toe around.
Hitler was hardly a christian, and he and his actions have been universally condemned. There is a clear distance between his actions and the rest of the west. Muslims are at the front line of the fighting. Muslims here seem to condemned it with a 'but'.
And how do I make my loyalties satisfactory for you? Can you describe one day in my life? You don't know **** all about how I live and to what capacity I am as normal as what you would regard as normal. If you are expecting me to have a foreskin transplant and give my complexion a dash of white in order to show my loyalties then you will be a long time waiting.
