He's quitting Palace and won't take another management job, apparently. Seems a strange one. There'll be a few people that are glad to see the back of him, though. Who next for Palace and what's his motivation here?
Good underated manager. Kinda makes sense too, never gonna get a big club and ****ed his dream job up. The merry go round begins. Palace & Watford looking for new boss. We likely are too and can see Stoke joining that group too.
2s and 3s is **** all really. A couple over excited fans having a punt would have dropped it to that. No chance imo.
Wouldn't say he's a good manager. Decent at a push. Good with team spirit but often tactically plain daft. I'd probably welcome him back for the team spirit alone. Think I'd rather have Pearson-Philips combo though. Pearson is more psychology orientated but not as reliant on Sam style sports science which I think led to a lot of injuires for us his next season. Sam is more interested in a rapid recovery which will never replace natural healing. May work short term but long term I think it's devastating.
If Donald Trump weren't orange or American and was a football manager he'd be Sam Allardyce. About the same level of intelligence and integrity.
