I've not claimed anything as a 'fact' that I haven't backed up with a source. You know fine well that the 72 virgins bollocks is used as a motivation by these cranks, and they claim it does have a source in the Quran, despite many claiming that it doesn't. It's still what they're using and many are falling for it. Sure some might be political martyrs in their own minds, but many are being indoctrinated with this ****e.
But why do you ignore the political reasons they use as well? There is more than one reason they use and you seem happy to just use one and try and pin to Islam.. Simple fact is your source was wrong..
Agreed .. but the common soldiery bought into it on the grounds of religious duty and the Templars and Knights of St John also believed in manifest destiny and duty as well as the benefits of the trade routes ... the 'justification' was religion ... and Richard Coer de Lion for one, wasn't looking to be imortalised as the "saviour of trade routes"..
It was the act of a mentally deluded coward with tragic consequences. There is no political or religious justification for it. All should condemn such actions out of hand, with no 'iffs' or 'yeah buts'.
This argument is like the ISIS claima that they are behind everything when clearly not 72 virgins is easier to sell to you guys in the west that are not Muslim than it would be to Arab speaking muslims
Indeed. Various Popes promised forgiveness of sins and immediate passage to heaven - with no time spent in purgatory - for anyone killed on crusade.
I think the motivation for the mass of crusaders that went was religion "taking the cross" ... the ploy by those in power might have been to satisfy greed ...
I am not claiming it wasn't the case for all but in the main people were sold on the wealth available than God. God was just the icing rather than the motivation
Most of the terrorists in Europe aren't Arab-speaking Muslims, though. They're generally homegrown converts, aren't they? Much easier for people like your mate Anjem to mislead.
Not true in the main. Majority of terrorists including this one if from Libya would have been Arabic speaking. 9/11 ones were too As for Anjum the hard and bitter truth is that high profile arrests and cases like him and the bloke he cites as his teacher have been unhelpful in the wider arena My own meeting him was a result of my searching for answers to my religion and as I told you I went to an event to "have a go" at these guys and was surprised at what they were saying. Omar bakri and anjum are the only people I have heard speak of a covenant of security. Which is that if you live and grow up in this country or came here as a refugee etc then it is haram for you to attack this country In fact some of my talks with kids tobtackle radicalization use their evidences. Albeit if I used them as a source I would probably be in belmarsh. My point is things are not always as they seem
Why is it beyond the realms of possibility that the last 40 year has created a generation of angry motherfuckers who were not raised in Mud huts but are savvy and up to date with Technology etc and are using these means to get 'revenge' sure as hell beats fighting bullets with stones. Iv'e said it many times to those close to me, if i was a Palastinian id probably be dead by now because i dont think i could live a lifetime of watching my loved ones, my neighbours, my environment getting bombed and oppressed...i wouldnt need the promise of 72 virgins...no hard on going to motivate me to take my life...but anger..well..one day i might just pop
The one that conducted the Manchester attack was British-born, by all accounts. His parents were Libyan refugees, so it's possible that he knew their form of Arabic, but unconfirmed. 9/11 wasn't in Europe, of course. Arresting a terrorist is unhelpful in the wider arena? Really? He spoke of a covenant with this country while planning attacks on others, by his own words: That means that he would've been happy for people from other countries to attack ours. He supports and communicates with terrorists, making him a terrorist himself. It's ridiculous that you continue to support him, frankly.
Yeah I just uses the 9/11 one as that seemed to be the one that lead us to where we are in terms of suicide attacks with Muslims Libyans speak Arabic as do many of the countries the likes of those in France etc come from. British born won't affect the language too much generally That video is rubbish mate. He explained what he meant with the yes And why wouldn't I support a covenant of security?
This sort of attack has been happening since the year dot all over the world and sadly will never fully be conquered. The west incidences have increased and will continue to increase because of the way the west interfere and supply arms and take sides in the East...A lot of these terrorists are now actually born in the west and have British or European passports which makes it easier to move undetected. The only thing any of us can do is to keep alert and continue to live our lives and hope the security services continue to thwart the many attacks they have because there is no way on this earth that this will fully be eradicated because of all the hate in the world....
What's wrong with the video? He got asked a straight question and he gave a straight, if incredibly incriminating, answer. The problem with the covenant of security is that it's very narrow. He won't attack England? Oh, cheers. How about not attacking anyone? And, of course, it was bullshit, as he was constantly linked with a ton of terrorists, including Lee Rigby's killers. He was convicted for supporting ISIS, who have claimed this latest attack, too. Seems like a great bloke, though. Not a raving fruitcake, at all. Lovely guy.
The perpetrator was a Manchester United fan, apparently. How does that work? Hates the western devils and supports... the western devils.
He is actually a very nice bloke, what do you want me to do lie? That video wasn't the be all and end all and fortunately the thing was being filmed independent too (was on YouTube but has been since removed) . Had it not been you are right he would have faced prosecution. Lee rigbys killers were linked via events they had attempted organised by anjems crew. BUT and here is then crux, left as they didn't agree with anjema crew and covenant of security etc. Besides a house i lived in I bought off the father of a guy serving 18 years. Doesn't mean there is a link Covenant of security is very comprehensive in fairness and I have the notes still and it isn't as restrictive as you are intent on making it The whole isis support is overplayed and they had to change the rules to get him imprisoned, which says it all. He was stupid for saying some stuff and was right royally set up. But let's not pretend he was ever a risk to this country. Every one thought he was a government stooge in the Muslim community As I said there is more to many incidents than YouTube clips.
