Whoever is approached to take it has to think long and hard...... If they get it right, they will be hero's and lauded by fans, probably like no other If they get it wrong, I can't think of a worse job, if history is anything to go by, not withstanding a few examples, failing at the Sunderland managers job could very well spell the end of you career. Given that, I can't think past Pearson, he ticks all the boxes and really has nothing to lose now. It could be springboard to restart his career, or a great pay day if it goes tits-up.
My choice would be Wagner but if Huddersfield go up he'll stay and if not then I reckon he'll go to the Bundesliga. I don't want Pearson. Apart from taking Leicester up and nearly relegating them, I don't think he's done much else? I think he's limited. I'd like us to go for somebody like Ten Hag, who is the Utrecht coach. He's done a good job with them and has them playing very attractive football.
Sean Dyche is getting a mention but surely he wouldn't leave Burnley to come to us. He would be my choice but it's unlikely.
I dont follow football on the continent so dont know anything about up and coming foreign managers. I voted Wagner just because I think its time for a complete rethink and you won't get that with Pearson et al. Wagner does have limited experience in this country which is a bonus, I just think getting someone off the usual managers merry go round is hardly a step forward. Time for change and am prepared to take a punt, it can hardly be any worse than we've endured during the past 12 months.
Pearson for me. He laid the foundations at Leicester and he'd take no **** from the likes of Kone & Co.
Pearson is winning the poll and favorite in the betting. Getting the feeling we want soul and spirit back in our football club.
The Hull owners even make your guy look competent. If there's any club people will be less keen to work at! What about Boro? Is Agnew permanent? My assumption is that they would be appointing too and would likely be preferable to most (owner, stability and probable finances) - Pearson would be a good fit there too, which is a concern.
I wouldn't go that far. They're in debt too, just been relegated again. They tried to re brand the club against fans opinion and created a fan civil war.
