I don't disagree about Libya. It's the same situation as Iraq. You dispose of the uniting element, i.e. Gaddafi and Saddam, and as bad as they may have been, the outcome is worse. As to ISIS, these are their own people whom they are more than prepared to see slaughtered.
Hospitals in Syria were deliberately targeted by Russian planes. Also do you consider Israel to be 'the west' ? As their snipers have deliberately shot and killed Palestinian children in cold blood.
As bad the intelligence may have been that caused that incident, it still does not compare to the deliberate and callous targeting of kids in last night's attack.
And do you think the people who want the war in various parts of the world for profits in the west give a **** about the innocents that get killed here? if you do then you are either very naïve and giving them too much credit or don't want to see the reality...
No, I don't consider Israel to be the west. And nothing Putin's Russia does would surprise me either.
Also, you have to look at the wider picture about where these arms are coming from. The UK is one of the biggest arms dealers in the world. And Trump has just returned from Saudi Arabia, with their persecution of the Houthi in Yemen and terrible domestic human rights record, with arms deals worth $110bn !
Not only that Hospitals in Afghanistan has been deliberately bombed by US and there was no outrage then....we have to move away from them and us, their life is just as important as ours...
Exactly. It's the ordinary people in the world who suffer at the hands of madmen with weapons. That includes 'terrorists' and politicians who sanction war.
Aye you have to see the difference. When the West strikes, they know there is the chance of collateral damage in terms of civilians. But its always a means to an end. They have to weigh up, is the civilian bodycount worth it, to destroy a particular cell or arms factory or stronghold. But last night? What strategic advantage was there to gain in just mindlessly blowing up children? Just to divide people and have them turn against Muslims? Most people are smarter than that.
Always has to descend into political drivel. That picture of the 8 year old girl has broken me today, I'm going home to be with my wife and daughter.
I disagree, its all part and parcel of it, do you think terrorists suddenly just appeared and want to kill British people for the expansion of Islam or something.
That's a load of bollocks, you can dress it how you like but that's not always the case! Majority of those cells were created by West, then to take them out West kills innocents and whilst you sit in the arm chair saying its worth it, those that lose their loved ones there don't think so and are out for revenge and get recruited, so the terrorists don't diminish in reality but increase for their own cause and reasons.
Unfortunately mate ... it's because we have religion more than politics. You make some very good points btw ... but there is no getting away from the fact that religion has been responsible for more deaths in this world than anything else ... going back to the Crusades and beyond.
How do you know that wasn't deliberate or callous? what about the hospitals or those kids on the beach and there are numerous accounts like that which gets no air time. Have you seen how the American soldiers cheer when they send a **** off bomb or hit a target? that's just not right. I haven't seen our soldiers do that but American soldiers their on another level... Accountability has to be on both sides and that's when the recruitment for the terrorists will diminish.
I beg to differ that religion is the cause for it all, no religion actually advocates terrorism, killing innocents or any of the sort, its just the scape goat for recent times because people think being non-religious saves the world or more intelligible and disregard the part the religion/religious people have played in enlightenment.
Islamic fundamentalists are waging Jihad under the name of religion, even if it's a religion that you maybe don't recognise.
