Oddly, none of the injuries seemed to have any major impact on our points haul. We were in 11th with 27 points in 22 matches when VVD went down; we finished in 8th with 46 points in 38. 1.23 points/game pre-injury, 1.19 post. 1.21 points/game before Austin got injured, 1.21 after. Both our strengths and our weaknesses persisted.
Oh without a doubt it's the same here. Puel hasn't been fantastic, but the abuse he has taken from some Saints fans is nothing short of a disgrace.
FYI.... its been reported on our other sites that MS is in Porto tomorrow for an interview after Porto sacked their manager / coach...
Makes a mockery of players on longer contracts if we are just going to sell then anyway. Think i might come back after the transfer window closes and see who is left ..
Really.virgil just got a new contract.i should not be out of our reach to get 1 more season from him no ?
Players have the power sadly. He is about a 2 out of ten to leave though, clubs will have to bid big. Bertrand is like a 9.
Not to fussed if Bertrand leaves personally. Don't think he's been fussed for a while now. Just need to get top dollar. England international, over 2 years on contract, in his prime years etc.
Agree he is quality, however over the last few seasons I've learnt just to get used to players leaving.
Sounds more like when we sounded out Silva ('s agent) that Porto had already contacted and hence we say he is not on our list because of that, rather than him never being on the list as is being spun.
So which is it Beefy? Is VvD likely to go, or just 2 out of 10? Doesn't likely have to start at say a 5 or above out of 10?
