    BREAKING NEWS

David Moyes has resigned as Sunderland manager.

Chairman Ellis Short told the club website: “I pursued the services of David Moyes for a considerable period prior to his appointment last summer, which makes the announcement of his departure difficult for everyone concerned.

“Having worked tirelessly throughout the campaign to avoid relegation from the Premier League, David has chosen to leave the club without compensation, which is testament to his character.

He came in to pack up his office but left with just a single betting slip grasped in his sweaty fist...

Good to see David Wagner and Jason Stam doing great work in the championship.

I wonder if Paul Merson/Phil Thompson be championing them to manage Hull next season ...

If big Sam has not taken England job Sunderland is still going to be in the premiership. They should have gone for 'Arry
    when Sam Allardyce left.

There's a difference in not being physical or dynamic and being unable to regularly play more than 1 game in a week. The latter is what I was referring to with Scholes.

Well we could have tried a 433, but even then we'd of still had issues with roles in the midfield. Gerrard would have been the best suited to being the player who wins the ball back and does the defensive stuff, as he could tackle the best of the 3, but not sure he'd of been happy to sacrifice his own glory, to allow Scholes and Lampard more freedom.

I think in all honesty the 3 of them where not suited to playing together. If we where going to go with a 3 then I think you need a player who is happy to be the defensive player, someone like Owen Hargreaves or Carrick, with say Scholes and Gerrard alongside them.

Kane bossed it, which is no surprise as Spurs qualified for the CL.....

    Not just the qualifying rounds.
