In the end its a few extra mile but we all know it's about 3 things 1. Wages 2. Wages 3. Wages Well... It's a bit flippant but stuff like nice areas and sunshine and money all add up to more than 6 matches in a group. The issue is degree of belief. If you were a good player would you believe of are going places or not? Tour melwood and no, see the plans for a new training facility in 2 years time... maybe.. Tour anfield 54k, new stand, say there will be 63k in here in 2 year that's be even better imo. Judge klopp as manager not bad. Coutinho on 180k per week with 200k likely to top player... not bad at all. In the end spurs will have a 61k stadium and a track record in Europe to show off but the max they are paying is kane at 120k. If we pay 180k we should get the player, if city or Utd pay 250-300k then they will get him. Simple Van dijk will prob go to city or Chelsea depending on highest wages imo for instance
I'd take either of them over CSKA Moscow, Istanbul Buyuksekhir {long trips) or Young Boys {plastic pitch}
So the works already done? Clearly things have been lined up as you'd expect so now I'm keen to know who's coming! Massive summer for us.
Hoping it's coming together in next 6 weeks or so not guys turning up in late August but I will take what we can get. I'm sure one player will arrive in back of successful cl qualifier
Think there should be room for changing circumstance buys as well, ie a player that wants out of a club or a club desperate for money etc. Think it would be dangerous to declare all the work is done before the window is open and then miss out on a potential great buy. Great we have plans but think we should keep an eye out for whats happening around Europe.
My guess is, players already lined up and the club have already made enquiries with number of players. Nothing will be sewn up just yet but does give hope that we will have few players in before the CL qualifier and in time for pre season.
Klopp has previously said that he wants them in early. I think we made all of our signing last summer quite early if I recall.
Most of his desired ones yes ahem...... http://www.not606.com/threads/summer-2016-tracking-change-at-liverpool-fc.328279/ Given it shows all dates one could surmise wijnaldum might have been late plan b, but I dunno. Same for Kagan, bought after sakho exiled. Deffo could ha e been spending money made on ibe etc
Llorente as a different option? Scored goals in 6 yard box and real threat from crosses. Decent squad option to have.
I think klopps ideal number 9 will someone who can do a bit of everything. Someone who can play in our plan A first and foremost but also provide an aerial threat. If you look at the likes of Torres and Suarez - neither were giants but both were excellent in the air.
Griezmann should be on their radar says former Reds star Dean Saunders. Manchester United is the club most connected to the Frenchman but their Europa League status could prove a hindrance. p:nth-of-type(2)","sizes":[[8,8]],"hideOnSensitiveArticle":true,"relativePos":"after","additionalClass":"in-article","name":"div-gpt-ad-vip-slot","type":"VIP"}' data-inview="" data-type="gpt"> "I mentioned Griezmann and Liverpool will be on his list now", Saunders said on LFC TV. "He will have a conversation with them if he's coming to England", he added. Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone's announcement that he'll be staying at the club may, however, persuade Griezmann to stay after all.
Congratulations on that 4th placed trophy We've won more in the last year than Liverpool have won in a decade
Wouldnt cost £32m and be the star striker though. Would be an option for different games or to come on when plan A isn't working as an option to cross for
he's saved swansea in conjunction with siggurdsson being able to play the right balls to him Its one trick and he's slow as ****. Its like this... if you look back through swansea prem years you can pick the big man out and measure their fortunes according to their effectiveness. thats how they set up and play but its not how we set up and play.
