Silva showed his quality earlier in the season the way he organised the team it was the players who let him down later
Can't say I'm too surprised about the result. I was hoping for a more respectable scoreline but it felt ominous after they scored 6 on Thursday. The rotten foundations which held up our resurgence gave way and we just didn't have the ability to come back from it.
At what point do the players take some of the blame and not Marco Silva? I am not saying Silva is blameless, but he isn't on the pitch making the errors. No manager can account for individual errors, and our season has been littered with them. Before Marco came we suffered from them and after he has gone we will.
Why would I think that; lots of call for waiters in Portugal with the season upon them. Won't they look at the bad bits, too?
I don't think so, no. He did well from Jan upto the Sunderland game, he had his 'blip' then, everyone gets them, after that it was virtually all over and today he put out a makeshift team against a team at the top of it's game.
I don't know about you Carmine, but they've done nowt for my confidence in him. (Not to mention Sunderland, Stoke, ...)
What reputation? He came in and gave us a lift but caved and ****ed it all up spectacularly once it got to the wire. It's not just losing, his decisions have been questionable, the performances awful, and the results speak for themselves. I can't see anyone offering him a decent job after this.
today: 3 players injured from last week, not to mention injuries before, 3 players rested - maybe transfers lined up, tottenham in top form what did people expect?
The reputation he'd built up with us shouldn't get destroyed after 2 bad results and a meaningless drubbing, at least in my opinion.
There are no excuses for a 7-1 defeat. Particularly not after the pathetic performances in the two games prior, which actually did matter. A lot.
Merson's reasoning was that he didn't know enough about the PL; he certainly showed it didnt matter if you organised the team
18:51 Hull 1-7 (SEVEN) Tottenham Will Marco Silva be at Hull next year? I wouldn't count on it. He pointedly applauds all areas of the KCom before heading down the tunnel.
