2.55 Always Lion Been waiting to see what happened to this fella. He got an injury so was out for the season with Pauling mentioning that it wasn't anything serious but that he needed time. He won a nice introductory Hurdle on his last start, beating Kerrow (won handicap Hurdle off 120), Robin Of Locksley (130 horse) and Max Forte (placed off 122 lto at Cheltenham). This then leads to Always Lion's handicap mark!! He starts off his chasing career off 120!! 120!! I think he will make an awesome chaser who could easily be a 135+ horse in time. As such, he's the one for me tomorrow!!
It's my birthday today so let's be having some winners. So far I've just had a little double on Baby King and Cloudy Bob in the 4:00 and 4:30 at Market Rasen. Double pays around 16/1
Happy Birthday, Smokey, have a good'un! (Good luck with these two, just had an e/w double on them myself ).
Agree entirely, very promising prospect. One nuisance could be Red Infantry, by top French jumper Indian River (sire: Cadoudal) who must merit consideration on breeding alone? Think I'll watch this one, as I find Novices' Handicap Chases quite beyond me! Good luck!
From recollection he isn't a scopey individual and sometimes lacked fluency over hurdles. It will be interesting to see how they go. I like novice handicap chases as you get horses that are able to exploit a mark against horses who are running in them because they wouldn't win a normal novice/beginner chase.
In the 1:55 at Limerick there's an horse called Brave Poppy that was as big as 20/1 last night and had been backed into 5/1 this morning, now declared a non runner, very strange.
It's not a working man's price but I am really looking forward to seeing this Alpha Centauri at Naas today. Made a favourable impression winning on debut with the form already boosted. A few reopose today so interesting to see if the form holds up.
Happy Birthday smokey. Have a great day. If it's anything like it is here be careful not to get sunstroke.
A rare bet for me nowadays, an e/w Patent: 14:35 Ripon - Kroy 16:50 Stratford - Druid's Folly** 17:10 Ripon - Mininggold **Yes, I know, a Novices' Limited Handicap Chase!
DF lto jumped like a drunk whose spotted some bike railings. If he jumps better then he has a great chance
Yes, his first effort chasing was a PU. He seems to be so well-backed most of the time. Have to see if he's got things ironed-out.
