Great news that.
Right now, the next one to watch or follow is CSKA Moscow who are currently 2nd and 1 point ahead of Zenit. CSKA Moscow play Anji tomorrow and Zenit are away at Lokomotiv Moscow.

As long as CSKA finish the season ahead of Zenit, then we would be guaranteed a seeded spot in the playoff.


Of course, we need to qualify....

 

None of those teams should be a problem for Klopp

 

If we are seeded then we won't face these teams.

 

Well you should worry about the smaller teams then

 

Or if Ajax beat united. Obviously need to just ensure we win tomorrow, ideal is city lose and we nick 3rd back after handing it to them the last couple weeks. But certainly be better to be seeded team, especially as means 2nd leg is at anfield.

 

Sure seeded means a weaker team. But not sure about the second leg. With this season in mind, I will be biting my nails over these play offs. We've been a poor Cup team this season. If we fall behind or draw 0-0 in the first leg, will we be sure of finishing the job at Anfield? We certainly need to massively improve on our recent performances to go through into the CL.

 

Just wanted to say that's next season's problem and I don't need to borrow problems for tomorrow.

I still can't work Kane out. Brilliant finisher and typical English number 9 striker. But I think he is incredibly easy to keep quiet.

 

I think he is a very predictable player and would expect his goal haul will gradually diminish unless he changes his style of play. He is often marked out of games completely and tends to score a lot against the poorer sides. Our defence is pretty iffy at times and he has not done much against us.
