To be fair, he isn't the only one that uses stats, but some people do seem to disregard any stats if they don't support their own opinions.
How about extending the stats then to be more conclusive than just assists and goals Maybe dribbles won or fouls conceded etc etc.... Anyway like Jatt said 'lets just let the football do the talking'
I don't think giving away more fouls makes you a better player as a winger Neither does dribbling with the ball if it doesn't lead to anything. Anyway, if you bothered to read what else I've posted you would see that I said, although it's very early days, Young has settled in at Man Utd straight away with a big influence in each of his first two competitive matches.
Berb i obviously meant stats that show the bigger picture... And Downing has been excellent for us so far - very nearly scored a contender for goal of the season already, and shown some excellent link up play and creativity. At the end of the day you're happy with Young and we're happy with Downing - Everyone's a winner
