It's pretty much an open secret that the League of Wales is rife with it. While things may have changed in recent years, the year Afan Lido get relegated from the Welsh Premier, half their team quit during the season because players were betting against themselves. Then they were being replaced with locals with as little semi-professional experience as you or me, who'd been placing the bets in the first place, exacerbating the problem. In fairness its difficult to motivate yourself for a league where only one team is professional and usually have the title wrapped up by November.
I wonder if any of them will be seen again? Just send us Rashford before the angry little Portuguese bloke turns him into Joke Hole II.
And I'm sure that Man Utd will be charged with fielding a weakened team and punished heavily. Or not.
to be honest, as much as I get your point on inconsistency, I think that charge is utter bullshit. A manager should be able to call on any players at his disposal. The league shouldn't be able to tell a manager who of his squad he can and cannot field. Also its a major insult to the players who do play, the FA are basically calling them ****. Its complete and utter ****ing bullshit.
It is a squad game...it is **** all to anyone which players a team choses to play other than said team and their fans. What pisses me off re Maureen's bitching is when we played away in the EL on the Thursday before the Carling Cup Final in 2015 (giving us 66 hrs to prepare) he didn't give a ****. Back in 2007 we played away in Saville on the Thursday night and then had to play Chelsea at midday on the Saturday (38 hrs rest). Again no comment from him. If he wants to be taken seriously then he should speak out even when he benefits or should STFU and get on with it like everyone else does. He wants his last game of the season changed but said **** all when we were forced to play our last game of the season when the squad were ill in 2006. I think the issue re premier league games before after European games could and should be changed. If a team plays away in Europe the previously league match should be at home and on a Friday night to help the team. If they are playing at home in Europe the previous match can be home or away but should still be on the Friday. The following match should be on the Monday after. They could arrange the home and away games for the group stages at least as these dates are known.
My point was only one of consistency, so I agree with what you're saying. I'd be pissed if my team got relegated because Huddersfield's reserves couldn't beat 10 man Birmingham, though! If they're going to get **** for it, then Utd should, too.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39981841 Alisher Usmanov has just been named the richest man in Britain. Born in Uzbekistan, Usmanov made his fortune in the collapsing Soviet Union. His empire has stretched from plastic bags to minerals, telecoms, Facebook and Arsenal Football Club. But Usmanov's rise has not been straightforward, nor free of controversy Currently 30% shareholder, but bidding to take over the Goons from Kroenke. Nothing likely to be dodgy about this mans rise to incredible wealth - No, Siree Bob!!
Lol Shocking! They were doing okay halfway through the season. But a side completely devoid of goals is always gonna struggle
Scott Wilson @Scottwilsonecho David Moyes reveals #SAFC agree to put the ball out in the 26th minute so John Terry could have his send off. 5:28 PM - 21 May 2017 · London, England Surely this is match fixing. For example had I known I could have put a bet on this happening.
Manchester united played the youngest ever PL team against Crystal Palace. That's a lot of puppy fat on the pitch.......at least until Rooney went off in the second half.
