I came back from Watford earlier and every time I watched the news footage about the riots I was thinking that we never get anything like that here, only to find out that there has been the murder of 6 people about 10 - 15 mins walk from where I live! (I presume most of you have seen that on the news)

One bright spot, my family gathering yesterday. I found out why my Mum's cousin held it at his place - a large house in nearly 50 acres of land in Sussex which also has a pool.

I'm off to bed now as I'm back at work tomorrow after a week off - I'll probably spend the first hour going through the e-mails I received while I was off.

    Night to anyone still up.

Morning Yorkie, its been very quiet without your input. ;)

Early days yet for the team. Hopefully they are still gelling. Some of my grapes are showing signs of mildew, but a bit late to start spraying now. Sent you a PM with details of the receipe for spray that you wanted to know.

Grey start to the fete day, but it is slowly brightening up.;)

After the strange performance of the Hornet Player on Saturday I e-mailed Jon Marks again, and as normal he was good enough to reply. I have copied part of his response and think it might be of interest to those who use it.

"Watford want to introduce an exclusive preview programme to Hornets Player subscribers this season which will begin at 2.30 and run until kick-off. This will be done live from the ground, hosted by me, with various interviews both pre-recorded and live with guests. This has been discussed with 3CR and both parties have agreed how it should work.

However, both at Burnley and on Saturday the wrong broadcast feeds were sent to Player by 3CR unfortunately so you couldn't hear what we were broadcasting.

The reason why it went quiet immediately at half-time and full-time is down to me fulfilling other BBC broadcast obligations however going forward that will be communicated by me prior to it happening.

Post-match the plan is to keep the broadcast going until we have heard from Sean Dyche - this did happen on Saturday but not until around 5.20pm. We hope it will be earlier in the coming weeks but again we will communicate this as we go along. "

It seems untrue that after the fury of the previous week, someone at 3CR should get it wrong again. <yikes>

I didn't get the chance to listen to the game as was in Cardiff, but can't believe it has messed up again, especially the very next game!!

I did ask quite a while ago would they be developing an iphone/android app so I can access Hornet Player when I'm not at home and they did say it was something they were looking in to, but haven't seen or heard anything since!

Afternoon all - sunny day in West West London...welcome back Yorkie - Lenny has been quiet, although he did manage to create a new persona to create some interesting "discussions" regarding the riots..
