If the lino had done his job your first would probably have been ruled out ... plus Harry nodded in having come back from an offside position ... don't shoot the messenger <laugh>

Sky drew a line for the wrong defender at the time and even then Son would have been only slightly off but they fixed it at half-time and showed that he was well on. "come back from an offside position"? He was clearly onside you daft bastard, you been reading Stevie Wonder's match reports, or something? :p

Were you facing the right way? Easy mistake to make when it's toothless chavs in blue whichever direction you're looking in ;)

... you are usually looking up at them ... as they lift the title <whistle> ... 3 years in a row now ... although different 'chavs' in blue admittedly <laugh>

I can see you are a little rattled... so I'll leave you ... but when you get a chance.. go have a look at the third goal again ... when the initial cross comes in Harry is closest to the goalkeeper and in front of the crosser ... and therefore technically in an offside position ... when it gets nodded back he isn't ... but he has come back from an offside position. <ok>

No need to apologise by the way <smooch>

Leave Harry out against Hull and give Vinny a 90 minute workout.

He wasn't interfering with play though there, Filbs. If he'd have headed it straight from Toby's cross then perhaps he's offside (although it's close) but he headed from Wanyama's header where he's well onside and so it's a perfectly clean goal.

Those joints you nicked off me are taking it's toll on you <laugh>

I'm not complaining mate ... although the law is fcuked ... apparently Raheem Sterling wasn't interfering with play last week eaither <doh> despite attempting to play the ball, blocking the defender (Fuchs) from playing it and blocking the keeper's view of it too ... makes you wonder what he was doing on the pitch in the first place <laugh>

... and the joints are keeping me well chilled ... was there a footie game last night?

Didn't see the Leicester - Man £ity game so can't really comment, although the money bags sides always get let-offs so it's no surprise if there was wrongdoing there that went unpunished.

Go back a couple of extra games or even a dozen more and it's the same.
    12 games, 11 wins, 1 loss. Scored 33, conceded 7.
Chelsea have 30 points in that time, then Liverpool are next with 24.
City and Arsenal are on 23 and 22, while Utd lag behind with 18.

    22 games? 56 points. Scored 55, conceded 14.
Chelsea matched that total, but everyone else is way behind over the same period.
We've been on a great run, but it still wasn't enough to haul Chelsea in, to their credit.

Kane made no attempt to play the initial cross from Toby and therefore only became 'active' when the ball came back across from Wanyama - by which time Cresswell i believe had shifted to the far post to play him onside.

The tricky part for officials is that it is almost impossible for a player to not be active when they are in the six yard box and the ball is being delivered at pace. The very fact that they are there creates panic amongst the defenders, and no sane defender or keeper is going to ignore an opposition player in the 6 yard box just because they are 'inactive'. So by definition, the law is impossible to police.

Also worth mentioning that by the same token it is almost impossible for the attacker to truly make himself undisputedly 'inactive' as in such cases he would have to physically walk off the pitch to do so. Again, never going to happen.

As for the other goals mentioned Son was marginally on but yes I've seen plenty of those flagged. Also didn't help that the kind people in Narrative HQ drew the magic line from Woz instead of the bald bloke who went off for Gray.

Vardy was marginally off but there again you see them ignored so often and he is incredibly quick so I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

Cheers for the gracious comment, John. <ok>
Just wanted to clarify something, though. We didn't have our two first choice right-backs out. It was three! <laugh>
Walker's ankle, Trippier had concussion and Kyle Walker-Peters is at the U20s World Cup with England. Kicks off tomorrow.

Right, didn't know about Kyle Walker the second <laugh> massive hit in one position for you then. We really should have tried to exploit that more but we had a crap night whilst your lot really turned on the style. It got to a stage with those last 2 where you knew it was going in before leaving his foot!
