A87 was one of a handful of posters who caused me to keep my distance. I did wonder if they were really Arsenal fans given some of the crap they came out with. He was either a very skilful plant/imposter or extremely juvenile. If he was an imposter he did a fantastic job at winding people up!!!

 

He wasn't an imposter ... I've a good nose for those.

 

So he was a Spurs fan pretending to be an Arsenal fan?

 

No, he really was an Arsenal fan. HIAG - a spurs fan - pretended that he was really A87, but he wasn't. I do believe some on the Gooner board actually met A87, so he was who he said he was. It happens, not all of us are imposters.

 

A87 could be disruptive but also engaged in some good football talk so that automatically ruled out being a hiag sock.

 

That's the frustrating thing about a lot of the Arsenal fans (not just those on this chat room). All of us want the best for the club and most of us have sensible things to say (most of the time), but there is a dreadful tendency to act like plonkers when things don't quite go our way! It annoys me no end especially when we start tearing chunks out of one another.

 

Shame he's not around. He'd be going ballistic about Whinger at the moment!..

A87 was a decent poster when he wasn't trying to cause a spat. He was vehemently anti-Wenger, which was fine. But he took that anti-Wenger stance to try and cause fights with anybody who wasn't. So that in the end he was just disrupting every thread, trying to start a fight. I lost count of the number of last warnings he was given ... in the end he sealed his own fate.

HIAG claiming that he was A87 was about as convincing as him claiming that he's a Lawyer.

 

Like they have a choice

 

I can attest to the truth of this.
Fundamentally I agreed with his stance on Wenger and still do, but he did become very disruptive in the end.
Guy could start a fight in a phone box.

 

I thought he was highly entertaining.

 

Not a nothing game for me. It would be if literally we couldn't move up or down like yourselves or Everton/Man U but we need to be the best we can be to make a better chance of a good transfer window so we need to get 8th in case we have competition off the likes of Southampton and West Ham

 

As a Spurs fan, that tells you everything about how disruptive he was

That's why I had my doubts about him. At times he seemed like a comic version of an Arsenal fan! Then again we have plenty of fans who seem to want to be upset by something or other all the time! You and I seem to have the same angle on the Wenger situation (which to me is simply in the best interests of the club) but there are fans who don't seem to give a toss whether the club suffers or not (so vociferous and primal is their need to get Wenger out). I've had the kinds of rows with Gooners in pubs that I have never had with Spurs fans! It's crazy!!
