Feyenoord have announced that our very own duracell bunny is retiring at end of season.
May not have been the best player to grace Anfield but always gave everything wherever he was asked to play . As an added bonus he always came over as a top man

    Happy retirement Dirk <applause>

    Great guy.

Extremely effective yet extremely frustrating to watch at times.

A great pro no 1, a great man no2, very sold experience and understood the game and how to make a difference no3.... slow as ****.

Very good player. Was never spectacular but did a great job in that wide right role including popping up with some crucial goals at times.

Always remember his Hatrick from combined 3 yards against the mancs!

Proper adopted scouser, couldn't have gone out on a better high, winning his league with his club and scoring a Hatrick to seal it.

    But not half empty.

He was bloody frustrating to watch trying to chase a ball and not getting near it. Slower than lambert the poor fella.

Like.... He was absolutely key to rafa defensively on the right and provided loads of assists... and goals from rw hence the effective comment.

Great player for us and was always there when we needed. One memory springs to mind of his hat trick against utd, with a total distance of 4 yards or something.

The plusses always outweighed his limitations. Gave everything every time, two footed and strong in the air, reliable from the spot.

Kuyt was the ultimate 7/10 player - consistent, reliable and effective.
