What about Willenium, the 1999 chart topping album by Will Smith?

 

I could probably do a top 5 East Coast and top 5 West Coast albums, but then I'd have to merge them. East Coast wins every time, about 8 out of my top 10 at least.

Or a top 5 hardcore hip-hop vs top 5 gangsta hip-hop which would mix it all up again.

I'm going for another nap.

We're discussing albums right? Not artists... I think there's at least 10 better albums that have been produced than anything Tupac or Biggie have put out. That doesn't mean that I don't think they're top 10 rappers, Biggie's probably the best for me, it's between him and Reggie.

There's something special about putting a CD (or MP3 nowadays) in your car and not touching it until it's finished, there's very few hip hop albums I can personally give credit like that to. My favourite to play and leave is Gang Starr Full Clip, but I'll stop short of putting that in as it's a compilation stretching a decade.
