Bigger club, more money, loyal fan base, bound to spend money and push on next season , more chances of regular football. Working under a "decent" manager Newcastle is a good opportunity at his stage of his career.
Much worse team than us. Doubt Newcastle would offer much higher wages than his next contract at saints Saints fans love him - he would be a nobody at newcastle He is a regular starter here so how would he play more? He is an academy lad. No guarantee Newcastle will even stay up. Better chance of playing for England at saints. Better chance of qualifying for europe at saints. Hmm, think I'd know where I'd rather be.
From reports I have seen Newcastle "only" have £100m to spend to get then into the top six so trying to buy any of our players that we don't want to sell will eat up a large portion of this. Having watched them several times on Sky this year they will need two or three times that to stay up let alone challenge for Europe
I'll be astounded. What's improved so significantly since they were relegated apart from the fact that they have been flattered by facing weaker opposition for a year? I think you'll get excellent odds against a top ten position for them once odds are announced. Vin
In my view their team was too good to go down, they had a young team that will have benefitted from a year in the Championship, and they will have Benitez from the start of the season. Like every team they need to invest but wouldn't surprise me at all to see them challenging in the same group as us (8th - 12th)
Ive watch Newcastle three times this season. They are very hit and miss. They have 3 or 4 decent players, so will need to bring in half a team to be competative. So can we sell them a few?
