No idea what is going on but I just checked Saintsweb and it appears some are sceptical of AR-10's itk status. I guess as always we will just have to wait and see.
I refer you to Nigel Atkins who reckoned 95% of football rumours were total b******s. The rest was just rubbish.
What poster gets themself named after a 1980's USA loudspeaker.? Course it takes a nerd like me to remember it. Welcome to my brain. Filled with serial and model numbers that are totally useless to about 99% of people. Was that worthy of St.G.?
I'm just going to wait and see, but if he does go then Les Reed has to take some responsibility as presumably Puel was his choice in the first place.
Indeed. After getting the summer wrong transfer-wise, removing Puel would signify getting it wrong manager-wise too*. Two rather bad marks against Reed. Still, he is done more than enough good things for us too. *Not that that should be a reason against removing him, if the board feel that to be the correct decision. A wrong decision compounding a wrong decision would be much worse.
no he's not gone! did way better than the lying Dutchman in Europe, actually brought an academy player to the first team, played a cup final and will finish 8th with his best players injured. New contract!
I never like to see people lose their job (unless for a valid reason or mutual decision). But i said it when he was first appointed and I still say it now, Puel is not the man to take Saints forward . I've got nothing against the guy but he just does nothing for me. He's not animated , he's dull in his interviews, and doesn't ooze and charisma or anything to get me motivated. If that's me saying that as a fan go you expect players to buy into him when they work with him everyday? Do I think we've had a bad season ... No. Do I think we've a season which we've done what most of us expected... Yes. Can I see us improving next season even without the usual pre season transfer window/manager circus acts and extra European games...No. We need this take over situation sorted first and foremost, then we should see where that leaves Puel. But for me I think if we seriously want to better ourselves next season, a manager change is what's needed.
I don't get the desire for Silva, kind of goes against the whole entertainment over results argument people have been using.
I don't think people mind dull play if we win and get results. The problem with Puel is quite often we have not got the results or the performance.
In the current climate, that would be trendier. It's a sad world we live in at present: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AR-10 However, proof that the AR-10 used to be a hi-fi loudspeaker from USA [if a not particularly great one, in my opinion]: https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/acoustic-research/ar-10.shtml
Ok, but why Silva? I'm not sure he has a record for breaking down stubborn teams like Puel has struggled with? feels like we would be swapping one side of that 0 - 0 Hull draw for the other. Surely we can find a manager more suited?
I take what ar10 says with a very large pile of salt.he has been wrong more than right. I suspect he is a self proclaimed "ITK" that does not actually know anything that is not already out there in the public domain. If i am proven wrong then il eat my socks
Thing is that nobody counts up how many times these iTK's get it wrong. Occasionally they get a hit because a rumour proved to be true. Not even professionals at the coal face get it right all the time and they are the ones making the information. I guess if it entertains people then fine. But that's all it is. Sometimes it's Shakespeare. More often it's Ant & Dec [that was perhaps the wrong example as I appear to be the one person who thinks they are talentless - been watching the BAFTAs].
Yeah, it seems crazy when you look at it like that, we have outperformed every other club of our size in the country with the drawback of a crowded fixture list and some very untimely injuries in a manager's first season in english football. He should absolutely get another season and it is very myopic of fans and owners alike if he doesn't get it IMO.
Which is why I posted a rather far fetched load of old cobblers to illustrate that people make stuff up.
To sack Puel will be as stupid as to have voted for Brexit but as we now know over half the population are downright stupid.
Nothing against you, you're just dull. No offense In all seriousness I'm sure we all know people who can be interesting and engaging at a personal level and a familiar environment, but find speaking in public or in more formal occasions difficult. A shyness of sorts
