    If united win the EL does that mean 8th gets the EL spot? Currently West Brom 8th but could easily be saints or Bournemouth or Leicester! Might be incentive for WBA to get something v city.

    Seems to me van gaal was making some progress... knee jerk by utd to appoint the big spender?

    Mourinho is a good manager in the sense that he can get the team organised and be very difficult to play against, no different to fat sam and Pulis. The only difference is the money at his disposal at the clubs he manages.
