anyway, if spurs get a point today, it means they finish second, so they won't bother turning up next week, and we can start silva's new unbeaten home record.
I think the time has come for video technology to 'assist' the officials. It's the only way smaller clubs can get a fair go during the course of the season when you look at the biased shown towards certain clubs over others. It will also stop officials being intimidated by the likes of BFS. Contentious decisions that see certain mangers going mental at the ref will be referred 'upstairs' and the ref can crack on with trying to do a pretty tough job at the best of times. We didn't deserve anything other than a defeat today but those two handball decisions were appalling. It's happened too many times this season to be a coincidence, I'm not saying it's even deliberate bias against the smaller clubs by officials but you can't tell me they don't get influenced with the levels of intimidation that some managers throw at them. Something needs to change.
I think you are spot on, the result last week not only cost us the 3 points but inspired the Swansea squad to up their game against both Everton and Sunderland. I can handle getting relegated but not the shambolic performances the team have delivered this week and last!
I know your social skills are lacking so I'll remove the subtlety. **** off you strange, dull, boring recluse. Oh, and you can die (whenever you want).
You are dead hard you keyboard warrior. I'll pop around and see you when I'm back in the UK. We can have a cuppa and some cucumber sandwiches.
Just on my way back from the game, I can handle relegation but what really pisses me off is we didn't do enough to win the Sunderland game and today was embarrassing. We couldn't do the basics we couldn't pass to each other how many simple passes went astray or just out of play. Our creativity or ability to cause teams problems is piss poor If marco stays or goes there has to be a mentality change we just carnt play under pressure
Agree, video technology is long overdue - I know fans of every club can cite instances of officials ****ing up but it's the small margins that relegate clubs at the bottom end of the table, we've certainly been undone this season by some shocking decisions. I think VT would ensure a fairer rub of the green for the smaller clubs.
It's not just the implications it has on the clubs. Fans devote a lot of time and money to follow their clubs and these ****ing useless officials ruin games at a blow of a whistle. As I mentioned before, football is a broken game. A decent match that isn't marred by controversy is hard to come by these days. That has probably had more impact on my loss of interest in the game itself than any of the shenanigans that have gone on at the club.
Oh well. Marco is a good lad, prepared to mix it and he gave us all hope, but his defensive nous is more than suspect. Zonal is too vulnerable against well schooled attacks. Harry at RB; the minute he wrote that teamsheet we were doomed. Played lots of years and never missed a ball like that; how do you do it? No hard feelings, we thought were ****ed long back, he gave us hope - good lad. Really not sure he has the defensive attitude for the Chumps. I didn't enjoy watching that game, but it had to be done. Well done to our travellers, you should be proud of yourselves.
Let the inquest begin.. 5 pts out of a possible 57...Dodgy refs decisions..etc..etc The truth is we weren't good enough. Move on and start afresh.. Ashbee assisted by Deano could be a duo who might give it a go. Whatever and whoever next season will be tough...No great insight there, granted.
Just got back in from that shambles. We looked alternately a team that had long accepted relegation and/or was that frozen with fear of failure, they could barely pass a 10 yard ball. No movement, no drive, no one willing to take responsibility for making a final pass or have a shot. I know he's not particularly well liked on here, but N'Diaye was our best player by a country mile- at least he closed down, chased back, looked to drive forward, and didn't shirk. Literally no-one else was brave enough to try anything. Apparently, we had 70% possession. We could have had 100% possession and still not scored. Highlight was the fans staying behind after the game- shut Palace up with a constant 'Marco Silva' chant
