Ipswich fan here. Genuinely wondered how Mr O'Dea is getting on for your lot. Heard he played LB v Saints where he is absolutely horrific. He's equally rather shocking at Centre Half we found - did he play vs Boro saturday and if so, where ? Never know, he may do alright for you and I wish him well, likewise yourselves for the season. Looks like being rather unpredictable this year....
after seeing the southampton game, i thought he was probably the worse player i had ever seen, constantly out of position but apparently did quite well against boro, didnt see the game though
Did you go to the game? Eddie gray seemed to think we played very well in the first half especially and also said that we only started to lose possession when howson went off
No unfortunately, but from what I've heard it seems like we dominated when the numbers were equal. Certainly only conceding one goal with nine men is a great effort anyway. Phil Hay gave Lonergan MotM.
I don't rate him, but mostly that's after seeing him play for Ipswich last season. He was terrible in the first game, and okay against Boro. He still isn't the answer to our problems at leftback though.
Think he'd be better off as CB backup. Best option we have for LB currently but we still need to get someone in.
Thought Boro were a very weak side. Small and not very strong. We'll see how the defence is, in the next 3 games Odear isnt the answer
Leeds huffed and puffed against Boro, but very little quality. O'Dea is still a prospect, and regular games may help him to improve. As always with young loanees its a gamble, but he may just mature and become a decent player.
****e football player, who should never have been a professional footballer, he's utter tripe and it's a joke that he is now at Leeds Utd.
