Seems odd that these contracts are being offered and signed when we still have 2 games to go this season.

Not a problem if they have the club's permission? If it is true, I'd drop him for Tymon in unless they are certain he is committed.

 

It's against the rules outside the window, and I can't imagine the club would give permission.

How can this be allowed - it shouldn't be published if the deal has been done? We need players giving 100% in our last 2 games. If this is true I'd doubt we'll see them giving 100% - more likely getting through games trying to avoid injury.

I have said all along Maguire would be well suited to Klopp at Liverpool. He likes a ball carrying centre half - look at Borussia Dortmund with Hummels.

 

Fined for what? Legally negotiating with a club and player? Do you even know how the transfer window works? Clubs and players can agree a deal at any time of year, they just don't formally move until the window opens.

 

Agreed, they won't get fined because there's nothing wrong with doing it.

Agreed. Tapping up of players under contract while outside of the transfer window is against the rules and has been subject to much discussion in the past.

 

And has gone on forever and will continue to do so in pro foootball for evermore.
