I'm not talking about their form, or performance during the game; I'm talking about their attitude and approach to each and every game both before and after the event. Some supporters are just as bad. Every game counts; where it is scheduled in the calendar is of no consequence at all.
If we stay up and we offer him a decent contract and budget he could well stay given our one match at home to sunderland we don't deserve to stay up I can't see us winning our last two matches and palace or swansea losing their last match as you say, we wont have any players we need for next season and I can't see us attracting enough good players to mount a serious promotion challenge never mind a management team
We will have to sell players, true. And it all won't get reinvested. That's a fact. But we have to remain competitive for the Allams to get their money back. So they have to invest in the squad. A back four of odubajo Dawson Davies Tymon is bloody good for the championship.
I think the allams can get their money back without us having to be competitive it doesn't matter how good our back four is if we have difficulty in scoring goals - when was the last time we didnt have difficulty in scoring goals? 2008?
This, for me, is such a worry. Say Silva leaves. Loads of players go too - Robertson, Maguire, Tymon, etc - and the loanees return. That's going to have a negative impact. I also think thousands of fans will cancel their memberships and not return. The club will be in such a state. There's no way it will compete for promotion.
Promotion will be the last of our concerns. I think the Allams have a few more surprises for us if we get relegated.
Promotion will be a distant dream next year. It'll be about staying in the Championship and not falling through the trap door again. As others have pointed out, we'll sell the likes of Maguire, Robertson, Tymon etc... and it won't be re-invested. The TV money the Allams have taken this year along with the money raised from fire sale in the summer will mean they will have their money back. What happens to us after that they won't care. I can see it being an Oysten situation. The very small straw I'm clutching like mad at the moment is the fact Ehaw won't have is premier league play boy status and he'll want it back meaning he'll have to invest. Can't see it happening though.
Thought I would get this one in early....Not looking forward to next season. Would Nige come back to keep us up, after all he must have unfinished business here, like at Lester... PS...BTW ...The Nige bit...Its a bit of gallows humour..
We should have stood by them like the others Fez. Happy, Chazz and Mel were right all along. We're the ones to blame. HCST , CTWD, PLT and OLM. Sir Ben, and Spez. We should hang our heads in shame.
After getting in at 5pm to see the score from the Stadium of $hite...I need cheering up... Still chins up...Worse things happen at sea..
