Yes. The bookies made a killing on you winning the league last season. That's not idiotic.

Could they be wrong? Of course they could.
It's two good teams in a one-off game in a neutral venue. It's far from something like Arsenal v Villa, for example.

Would someone be an idiot for backing Chelsea, though? No. That's a ludicrous assertion.
They're the clear favourites. They've been much, much better than Arsenal this season.

Inter Milan are ready to double the salary Mauricio Pochettino earns at Tottenham Hotspur to make him their new head coach.(Football Italia)

... so is it farewell and thanks for the memories, Pooch?

Quentin will be furious. When it's rumours involving Leicester it's clearly truthful and will result in us imploding and being non-league in 4 years. When it's Spurs it's purely idle media bollocks clearly <laugh>

Was just helping Quents out tbh, John lad ... it's from his favourite (actually his only) source of football knowledge, the BBC Daily Gossip column - for some strange reason he seems to be blind to anything involving his own club (bit like that Saintsfan bloke ... weird eh? <whistle> ) <laugh>

.... I don't wish to be pedantic, Spurlock mate ... but there is no request for approval there ... only for thoughts ... either way, you always have my approval mate <laugh>

But Ibra didn't come to sit on the bench, he was guaranteed playing time by Maureen?

Maureen is not stupid, he did the same with Etoo at Chelsea. Form is fleeting, Class is forever. <ok>

I'm sure he would have done just the same for £1000 a week ...him being such a modest sort :)

Whether he would or wouldn't is frankly irrelevant. Maureen promised him game time and was a big factor in him going. A few more million in the bank wont stroke his ego, a shot at the premiership title would have.

  18. So, Mr Marks, is it your assertion that, with Chelsea winning the title, the Spurs' spiral is now complete?

Whether you get 2nd or 3rd now is inconsequential but the Spud Spiral thread has been an unmitigated success. Whereby you only made a fist of it halfway through the season and an abject failure and embarrassment in Europe....twice but more so being beaten by plumbers and postmen. Dry humped at Wembley in the semi's and knocked out of the league cup by a The dullest Liverpool side for a decade.

If you manage not to bottle it against Man U and manage to secure 2nd then I would say the Spiral was 75% accurate if you bottle it and City get 2nd then it would be 95% accurate. Take away the wums comments and there's been some great footballing debate, so yes I'm more than happy to call the best thread on the forum a great success. But next years will be better which will be posted on the premier board directly after the FA Cup final and will be even more user friendly than this years belter. It will have many new additions such as games, predictions and fun filled joviality to while away the summer season. You'll be sure to enjoy it.

The old hiag wouldn't like it and would probably resort to his known third rate wummery and calling the old bill:police: demanding bans. The new hiag will embrace it and join in with the games and fun it will bring so looking forward to seeing you there. <ok>

Gareth Bale's representatives have opened talks with #MUFC chiefs over a potential summer transfer to Old Trafford, according to Diario Gol.
