Congratulations to Chelsea football club and its' supporters on winning the EPL title. It is without question that the best 'team' wins the title as it is testament to performances over a marathon 38 games in what is unquestionably the most competitive league in world football. Whilst it pains me that somebody has now replaced Leicester City in that role, Chelsea are worthy winners in the end and credit where it is due. Lastly a big shout out to N'Golo Kante ...2 seasons in the EPL ..2 different teams...2 title winning campaigns...quite phenomenal.
Think Cantona was the last player to win 2 titles with 2 different teams in consecutive seasons. Or did Ashley Cole do it? Unfortunately for us Chelsea were uncatchable. Our run of 14 wins 2 draws and 2 loses in our last 18 matches simply couldn't pull them in.
Well done Chelsea...best team by far. That 13 game winning run coinciding with us drawing 4 out of 5 after Kane's injury was the difference. That extra bit of quality in the squad told over the 38 games. I'm proud of my team though, they broke a lot of personal records in being the only team once again who were capable of giving the eventual winners any kind of challenge.
You what???? The Championship is more competitive than the PL for a start. 'Unquestionably' FFS Well done Chelsea, fully deserved. Great effort from Chelsea. Conte has shown he's the real deal. I doubted him massively until he went to a back 3, I now realise he was being patient and getting to know his squad. Excellent management. They'll be the team to beat next season with Conte tweaking over the summer.
I honestly thought Spurs were not even going to finish in the top 4 this season. One paper during pre-season I didn't fancy your chances at all (against the other top 6 squads). Still no trophy but a solid season tbf.
On the Kante point - No question he's the best DM in Europe right now. Probably the best in world football tbh in that deep role. Amazing personal achievement for Kante, he seems like a real humble nice guy so good on him. He's so good that I honestly think if we had him him in front of our back four we would have won the PL this season. <when's this ****ing truce over?!>
It's your year next year bro...I can't wait to fight for 6th place again <I don't know but I'm trying my best to honour it>
Well played Chelsea. Even though you are ****s, I like Conte. He really injects some passion and fun into the game. I bet Maureen ****ing hates him for making Chelsea successful and prevailing where he spat his dummy out and got told to **** off.
Congrats to Chelsea. Deserved winners in the end. For us, we need to turn more of those draws into wins. Chelsea have those game changers - Hazard, Pedro, that we lack.
... we won the Championship with ease when we came up for one thing ...the EPL was way more difficult ...as your lot are testament to ...so try not to be a knob ...I know you still feel the pain of Leicester City achieving something that the 'mighty' Liverpool haven't in 25 years and still look light years away from doing, quite frankly ... In fairness, and just to be balanced, I do think Liverpool might have a chance in the Championship mind
I think he's right that the Championship is more competitive than the PL. Most seasons it's very difficult to predict who the top 6 will be, whereas in the PL we all know that the clubs with the highest wage bills will fill the top spots. And if one of the really rich clubs under-performs one season, then they'll just go out and spend millions to buy their way back to the top. The option to do that in the Championship is far more limited. This actually makes Leicester's achievement last season more remarkable, not less.
I'd say the difference was January and February when Liverpool couldn't buy a point. We're to of the mini league don't you know
