Many moons ago, when I was working at Lordshill Sainsbury's, a trainee manager arrived for work, saying he had run into a deer on the way in. The shop's butchery department manager, got the details of where, jumped into his car and brought the deer into his meat prep room and proceeded to do, whatever it is that butchers do with their sharp knives, and ended up with plenty of venison. Still not sure how he got it in and out without getting caught and sacked, but he always was a chancer.
My local butcher does excellent venison. He offered me 8 legs of venison last week for £50. Is that too dear?
Yeah, you're right there. Was just thinking that they might grow less as olive oil has pushed it back off its brief time on the perch as the healthiest oil in the kitchen. As if there was any doubt.!. But of course it is a biofuel, so that's why it's probably grown just as much. Last time I looked at the subject though there was debate as to whether rapeseed was environmentally sustainable, for several reasons, one of which you point out.
Just watched the film Get Out. Really quite odd, and strangely compelling. Well, anything that has been categorised as a Comedy, Horror and Thriller, must have something about it, and this certainly does. Recommended.
Just spent ages trying to book a rail ticket (usually simple) but needed the answer to a simple question. Phoned up and got India, but struggled as usual to understand, so was transferred to a UK call centre. Got a Liverpudlian who was even harder to understand...felt like asking if I could be transferred back to India. Waited an hour, phoned again and bingo got someone who answered my question clearly. Problem solved, but I now feel wrung out like a wet rag.
