I have no idea why we signed him? I dunno if he cost a lot, but what a waste of cash. His positiion was one we certainly were not short on numbers for. Unless we never really thought we were going to get Commons?
I think Lennon brought him in for his experience in the dressing room as much as anything else. Didn't really work out though, obviously. I'd be surprised if he was being paid even half as much as people were saying. He's currently a "free agent".

It was always a bizarre one which was going to lead to "why?" at the end of the season, just like it lead to "why?" as soon as we signed him

I am surprised, that a man like you coming from where you do in Belfast and supporting Rangers, has time to study Celtic in such minute detail.
