I'd settle for a 4-1 win if offered it now.

Throw in no injuries or suspensions. And a clean sheet. And Fonte gets nutmegged.

Monday May 08, 2017. 15:00 West Ham United are set to be without Senegalese Cheikhou Kouyate for the rest of the season, with the player scheduled to undergo surgery.
According to the London Evening Standard, the Teranga Lions player has had a long-standing wrist injury and he will go under the knife to have the issue sorted.
The 27-year-old has been carrying the problem for much of the season and has regularly appeared with a cast on his right wrist as protection.
With the Hammers having secured their Premier League survival with a win over Tottenham Hotspur last Friday, the club have opted to send Kouyate for surgery.

Trying to see the silver lining in all situations here:

A defeat at West Ham will still not put us out of contention. It MAY go to the last day :bandit:

In fact, we may not even need any further point !!

All falls down to how Southampton play against Arsenal. Saints played well against Chelsea but in the end Chelsea's quality came through. 0-0 against relegation threatened Hull and a 0-0 with no intention to attack against ourselves.

I would think they would give it a go against Arsenal, away from home we can only hope for a Saints/draw.

West Ham v Spurs. Hammers suffocated any space and made it very narrow which killed Spurs. This is something which were weak against also. Only positive is that there defenders struggle against any for of pace. they had Kane upfront and for all his qualities isn't the fastest so it's bread and butter for hammer center backs.

I just don't know, i was very disappointed with the performance against Saints so i just hope we don't lose.

today is indeed a big day for us.

I expect forester to let 2 goals in under his useless lumpy frame

We need at worst a draw tonight

My opinion is unchanged on last week. Lads tried there best... theres no point slating them for it... its not good enough.

I would point out i have been told lucas would be a squad player on here and i was lambasted for saying no way. Saturday shows why. The lad tried his best, he just could not run about, he really struggled to chase after the ball. Its not personal its just the facts. Put that into CL and it is a big problem.

Yep. Any dropped points from Arsenal and united puts us in the driving seat (again).

Yep, don't see us taking 6 points from the next 2 at all. Thats why if Arsenal win these 2 away games its in the bag for them

I just hope we play Lallana and Sturridge from the off.

Our players are perfect for gegenpressing but it's completely redundant when opposition give us so much of the ball. That's when you need a player like Sturridge who is brilliant in the box and in tight spaces.
