SSN says Burnley to sign Danny Ings from Bournemouth today. Will this pave the way for Jay Rod to head south?
Freddy Adu has gone back to the USA. ...........or has he????? Today's pointless and unfounded rumour supplied free of charge by oldDellboy.
Possibly, although I think they were short of forwards even before the speculation about Jay Rod. Pompey have also been sniffing round Paterson. I think the Jay Rod deal could go down to the wire on deadline day.
I think your right fran the way that the don works, it will probably be a player we have never heard of from somewhere overseas who is absolutely quality.
He made his debut for Philadelphia Union in the MLS at the weekend. He was rubbish, got booked and subbed after 60 minutes. Rocket Swanie was there to mop his brow. http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/soccer/127718063.html
Does nobody else think £4.5 million for Rodriguez is a bit steep? Surely there must be better players about for less?
Indeed - crazy money! http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-town/town_were_quoted_6m_for_burnley_s_rodriguez_1_994170
Just listened to the midday news on Solent and the only mention of a transfer was that of Danny Ings to Burnley.
I just checked the twitter site to and there is nothing on there either, I think somebodys jumped the gun. Still think we will see someone today though! Always expecting to be surprised! Think maybe a few targets who were not sure about joining the newcomers maybe thinking differently, especially Mr Maynard who has seen Bristol fall to two straight defeats!
I'm not sure to be happy or not about these J Rod rumours. 4 million is too much money IMO for a guy who hasn't exactly set the championship alight this season or last, so 5.5 million is a joke. People on here are panicking about some of our team not cutting it in the championship, But at least we did't waste huge sums if that were to be the case(which i dont).
To be fair to CambSaint, I've just a quick skip around the known active Saints forums and everyone has a thread saying Burnley have accepted a £5.5M bid from us, according to Solent. So either the smoke has travelled, or quite a few people heard the same news as CambSaint.
