Often told to 'get behind the club', this group will pessimistically fight to the bitter end and eagerly rally round the motto 'expect the worst, hope for the best'. Take that, life. You bitch. The Bates Haters: bigfatboab Leeds-18 Ristac billyboy Led by controversial Scotsman bigfatboab, the Bates haters have felt a smug sense of 'I told you so' satisfaction over the last couple of weeks, pointing to Bates' ****ty investment as a source of United's misery. Favourite phrases include 'ambition', 'piss-stained old bastard' and the old classic, 'Bates out'. Influence rating: 4/10. The Controversialists: Clivetime bluememe doyono5 Que Somma Somma A rag-tag assortment of the more marginalized figures which includes Clivetime, bluememe and doyono5, the trio of Grayson haters, as well as the more amusing Que Somma Somma, whose recent 10-man squad prediction (and apparent fetish for all things Somma/Nunez) has had the rest of the community howling with derision. However this lot won't change their minds easily and Simon Grayson's apologists can do nothing about that fact other than hammer their ignore filters in shaky consternation. Influence rating: 1/10. The Realists: Oneleedsonefaith Best Fans Itsalongwayback Monsterleeds This lot don't let sentiment get in the way. If they see a spade, they'll call it a spade, and they won't bloody well apologize for it. You hear me?! A spade. They can see virtues in everyone's argument unless they're opposition fans or Clivetime, in which case they might well be on the end of a furious keyboard-lashing. Influence rating: 7/10. The Mods: bucks_is_leeds Leeds-18 Invincible. Envied. Ruggedly handsome. These are the only words to describe dynamic duo Leeds-18 and bucks_is_leeds who effortlessly pull the strings from behind the scenes. Not that I'm greasing them up or anything. They are really great blokes though. Influence rating: 10/10.
Brilliant article. And I'm not that optimistic, I currently fear for our safety. Although that said I suppose you could say I worry from a distinctly positive stance. If that's possible
And anyone who's felt a smug sense of satisfaction because of our current predicament isn't much of a Leeds fan. I don't feel like that now Grayson is being found out, even after all the abuse. I just want us to have a better manager.
You certainly have me in the right category. However, after forty years supporting the Whites, i've seen my fair share of gobshites mismanage Leeds as owners and managers at various times, i just cant blindly support everything going on at our great club without comment. Believe you me, i want to see a run of wins like anyone else and will be only too happy to say i was wrong when it happens. Its ok for the younger members on here, they have time on their side, but when you reach the magic 50 like i will in a couple of months, I begin to wonder will I ever see leeds in premiership again. Now Bates and Grayson, go prove us pessimists and doubters wrong
