And even more worrying, I agree with our Wubs - too effin fin!

Although, having said that, off topic I s'pose but loved the fact that we're back to our traditional white socks.

why does it say 125 on the back when we were formed in 1882 it even says this in front of the directors box so there is a clue there! I may be wrong but I think we used to say that we were formed in 1886 when st judes and the other club were merged, but then we decided that we were formed in 1882 when the team was formed at st judes (I think ) ... we seem to be changing our history in the hope that it will help to flog a few extra of those horrible shirts!

They flogged the limited edition shirt in 2007, light & dark blue halves, which was the original 1882 shirt, maybe they're planning another 125th...

Actually liked it and was disappointed after trekking round to the club shop, not to be able to buy one.

It say's 125 on the back for one of two reasons if Bernie & Flab stay this is the amount of managers we will have this season or maybe there should be a decimal point after the 1 i.e.1.25 to commemorate the amount they have spent on the team this season

Don't like the new kit, stripes too thin. Also don't like the look of the Flabio Away strip either, might throw up at Goodison on sats if its as bas as it looks.

Love the third kit though, think we should wear that all season instead :)

I really like the new shirt, looks really neat. I escpecially like the long sleeved version as the hoops carry on down the sleeves. Hopefully the long sleeve will be available one way or another, i might have to tap up DJ as he wears one :)

Not so sure on the away kit but i will reserve my judgement until I see it. I have a feeling that its a bit of a lemon (orange)

I actually love both the first kit and the third kit, and coming from a serial whinger like myself that's saying something! Did anyone watch MOTD 2 last night? Was good to see that clip of Bowles scoring in that very same red and white kit back in the 70s which is now our third kit! I also quite like the tinner stripes of the first kit. Again, I think it looks quite retro and pines back to our 60s and 70s heyday. The less said about the orange second kit the better. I noticed that it was featured once in the Hoops magazine I brought on matchday, so hopefully they realise that they've made a bit of a mistake with it and we'll stick to the retro first and third kits.. :smiley-finger007:

I really like the new first and third kits too. I was a but dubious about the thinner stripes at first but they looked good in the flesh. Just hope the sponsor-less versions will be available to buy, think that's unlikely though.

I'm lovin' your pedantry Brixton! But actually you raise an interesting theoretical conundrum; Are QPR's famous hoops made up of continuous concentric horizontal blue and white stripes, or are the stripes themselves actually hoops!? When does a stripe become a hoop? Is it just a matter of it going all the way around? In which case do Reading actually where stripes not hoops?
...Or maybe I'm thinking about it too much. :emoticon-0107-sweat

Agreed. It's hoops not stripes.. I think that it was just that the idea of a thin hoop doesn't sound quite right, does it!?

surely stripes run verticaly and then can never be hoops as they never meet up. You could never put it on if they met :)

Good point! So then, hoops by their very nature can only ever be horizontal not verticle (at least in football kit terms). Even if you could wear vertical hoops wouldn't they be more circles than hoops???
    Come on you Super-circles!

Too many hoops, too thin and they get in the way of where players names go, will only look worse if and when we get a sponsor sorted out. Agreed Marsh & Bowles etc played in a kit with thin hoops but I have become used to the wider hoops and the darker blue the better. It looked like one of those replica kits you see some pub teams wear. Had we been talking on old 606 about there having to be a white square on the back to make player names and numbers clearer for TV? Looks too busy on the back of the shirts for me. I like the red and white checkered shirt though, very swish.
