Monthy Python were a bit hit a miss, and a lot of it through the lens of modern comedy now seems a bit tame. But in it's day it was revolutionary. Wasn't really much of a fan of the sketches you cite, apart from Hell's Grannies, I loved that. One of my favourite is this, really clever sketch :
Baldrick is as funny as ****. Genuinely not wanting to **** stir, but HIAG is an absolute ringer for Baldrick.
Speaking of Rowan Atkinson, I came across a load of his old stand up comedy the other day. The man is an utter genius. The Devil named Toby was particularly brilliant.
