The Tottenham Hotspur "Spiral" Watch

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by The Ginger Marks, Sep 13, 2016.

  1. So what?

How does that make Leicester a big club?

The fact that every single pundit patronises you with the same plaudits points continuously to the freakishness of your having won the title. Do you really not think that Mahrez sees this?

He may not win the title with Spurs. However, he will know that he has more chance of winning it with Spurs than ever winning it again with Leicester. He'll also know that he has the chance to play CL footy every season, whereas Leicester cannot even hope to offer him the Europey League.

When you ask a question like "what is it based on?" you quickly betray your cursory, sketchy knowledge of football, Akky.

Did I say that it made Leicester a big club?

Big clubs win things on a regular basis. Spurs don't.

Even United and Arsenal, whom you've had the cheek to wum, will likely end the season with additions to their trophy cabinets.

    Utd already have one.
The bookies disagree about Arsenal being likely to win one, though.
Chelsea having two is much shorter odds.

Anyone that calls their own thread a success clearly has self-esteem issues.

  6. I never suggested that you did, Akky.

The point I was making is that Leicester is so far from being a big club that a move to Spurs would be considered a step up on his career ladder.

I know that you don't like to hear that, but it is a fact, nonetheless.

I would have thought that there is more chance that neither club will.

I'm not saying that United won't win the Europey League, but I don't think they are the best team in it.

Neither am I saying that Arsenal won't beat Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, but only an idiot would even suggest that Chelsea do not start out as odds-on favourites.

If Barca come in for him with a £40m plus bid (whish would match our valuation) then he will go and he will take his chance there ... of that I have no doubts ... with better technical players around him he will be superb ... could see them playing Neymar on the left Mahrez on the right and Messi in the hole behind Suarez ... and god help the opposition defences ... <laugh>

So, you reckon this is how it panned out.

Hiag got through to a contact in Ireland and arranged to post a picture of the Irish daily mail with Saintsfan08 written on it at the time agreed from the day before. This contact also managed to post this from the IP address of a town I frequently post from.

You believe that this person was at HIAG's beck and call all day and was able to answer a phone/call text on the hoof writing "bow to my wum mastery" on page 7 of that paper and posting it on hereless than 2 minutes after @Tobes asked for it.

Do you believe this to be how yesterday's massive humbling transpired?

Please sign yes for confirmed idiot

... a move to Spurs would be akin to changing at Crewe on a train journey to the North of England ... why bother if you can get a train straight through? ... you wouldn't ... sorry to be the one to break that news to you buddy ... but your lot are likely to be cherry picked this summer too ...

If Mahrez leaves it will be to a bigger club than Spurs in my opinion ... possibly one of the Big 4 (regular UCL clubs here) but far more likely to a Spanish or French club ... <ok>

and the point I'm making is that Spurs won't be seen as a big enough step up.

He's got the taste for league titles and he'll want more. Spurs can't offer him that.

As PNP kindly pointed out, United have already won the League Cup so they've already had a more successful season than Spurs and it's likely that they'll be in a European final in just over a day's time.

United clearly are the best team in that competition btw, don't let your bitterness cover your eyes.

I'd argue that you'd have to be a bit of an idiot to back against Arsene Wenger in the FA Cup. Lets see how it goes.
