    Yep, because being first of the losers is always worth celebrating!

  2. No, Piggy. Finishing the highest we have ever finished in the Prem, and continuing with our impressive upward trajectory, that's what is worth celebrating.

    You look like achieving a commendable 2nd and certain qualification for next seasons UCL.... I trust your boys won't be the laughing stock and total embarrassment to the EPL that they have been in both European competitions this season Terrence, talk about hard brexit !

    In all honesty, if you'd asked me if I I'd be happy with a possible 9th place in the league and quarterfinals UCL, I'd have snapped your hand off !
    You happy with how your season has panned out Terrence ?
    Actually, if you'd have said,I'd have arranged for you to have a selfie with the Prem trophy seeing as you don't look like winning it anytime soon.
    Though I reckon if you do a bit of serious grovelling, Ginge and CFC might oblige ! <laugh>

  15. Manchester United will test Tottenham's resolve with a £40m bid for 23-year-old defender Eric Dier. (Daily Mirror)

    £40m
    <laugh>

    What resolve would that be? The resolve to get rid of one of our most influential players and not be able to replace him for anything less than twice what United are offering?
    <laugh>

    Does this news-rag not remember that Mourhino has previous with Levy, when the latter told the former to "**** right off!" when the then-manager of Chelsea tried to buy Modric?

    Firstly, none of Spurs players will be for sale.

    Secondly, even if Dier has his head turned - which he won't, because United is a spent force with no CL footy - the price-tag that Levy will slap on Dier's head will be ridiculous!

  17. Tottenham Hotspur are determined not to sell 23-year-old midfielder Eric Dier, but Manchester United are ready to pay up to £40m to sign him. (Daily Mail)

    <laugh>
    I bet they are! Levy will ask twice that, of course!

    What part of "**** right off" does Mourhino not understand, when he speaks to our chairman?

    Where is Modric now? ... and that Bale lad? ... injured?... surely they must have seen that Spurs were building a world class club capable of competing with the best in Europe ... like KAA Gent <whistle>

    They both went to the best club side in the world, as I'm sure you know.

    And both have been an integral part of Real's side these last years.

    ... do you think they both realised that it wiould be quite some time before Spurs would be competing favourably with the likes of KAA Gent? :cool:
