the other big difference is Le Pen probably means it, whereas Farage is just the proxy front man for vested wealthy people with an agenda of their own. Those who think Farage is a man of the people and fighting for them are going to be disappointed... "Good old Nige" is just an act.
Agree about Le Pen. Some would say Nige has delivered, and no one's expecting much more. He makes a reasonably entertaining presenter on LBC, but that's about it
But a low turnout and a record number of spoiled or blank votes showed disillusionment among many, particularly on the far left, at the choice they were given. they sound more divided than the uk
The One Show is doing a bit of a puff piece with Mrs May and her husband as I write this. Don't you think she looks tired?
I managed to avoid the One Show interrogation, but this made me laugh.... https://www.theguardian.com/politic...uces-pure-tv-valium-on-the-one-show?CMP=fb_gu I did see an edition of Newsnight a couple of weeks ago where they did a fluffy piece on Mr & Mrs May - how they met, what a lovely couple they were, how much he supported her - a bit like Prince Philip and Her Majesty. Then, in order to give both leaders equal air time, they broadcast a hatchet job on Jezza, exposing his barmy socialist and pacifist history. Strong and stable.
I see 14 of the 15 expenses cases have been dropped, 'insufficient evidence'. In other words 'we know you're at it but we can't prove it'. Don't you just love politicians...
“However, it is clear agents were told by Conservative Party headquarters that the costs were part of the national campaign and it would not be possible to prove any agent acted knowingly or dishonestly. Therefore we have concluded it is not in the public interest to charge anyone referred to us with this offence.” So the MPs and their agents cannot be charged because Tory HQ told them it was OK. All a silly mistake.
So Trump sacks the head of the FBI. The guy being investigated sacks the guy investigating him!! Worrying times over there!
