Yeah, but just letting you know, if any of youse are wanting a copy of the Connacht Tribune here in England, I'm yer man
I'm not surprised they stock the regional papers tbh, they come out weekly and keep expats in touch with whats going on in their area back home. As for the daily rags, is there a Newsagents in the country who would bother? Especially considering they'd have to stock papers a day or two late as it is so unfeasible logistically (not to mention near impossible) to stock these low margin papers they day they are printed
That time some jumped the gun n they clocked on pretty quickly what was happening. I missed out all day so tried making up for lost time and got banned from Leeds board after 2 posts We should of went in coordinated really like suggested. We will next time @Spurlock @PISKIE @Treble @Tobes @FosseFilberto @Hoddle Is A God @NowsufferinginSpain @Stan @luvgonzo @Skylarker
I wasn't part of that invasion. I was part of a mini one launched from the Liverpool board. All I did was mention Brendan Rodgers and ask if he really did sleep with a Tranmere Rovers fan.
Mine was pettier than that, all I did is comment on a Treble thread about how great an owner Cellino was saying that he had them punching above their weight etc. I think it was the mention of the statue for him that pushed it over edge though
I've carried out some fantastic wums, Pix! That, in large part, is how I honed my skills for this board. Joking aside, I once joined a knitting site (of which my missus was a member, and who alerted me to it). Before I tell you my name and persona, I should point out the knitting fraternity contains some of the most right-wing, capitalistic, two-faced, Western-imperialistic bitches you will ever have the shame to encounter. Most of them seemed to be American and Canadian. They had names like Galaxy Craft, A Stitch In Time, and Knitter Bug, but don't let that fool you - these women were bitches. They were also very hard on newcomers, especially ones who appeared to be a little too different (if you know what I mean). So, I created a character called Jihadi Joan, and my avatar was of a woman in a full black burkha. I got to post one thread before I was issued with a site-wide ban. It was entitled "Tell me how to knit ruck-sack now." My OP and the first couple of posts read as follows:- Jihad Joan: "I not be in this country for long time, and need pattern for ruck-sack. Someone give knitting plan please?" Galaxy Craft: "What country are you in?" Jihad Joan: "Why you ask this question? Just give me knitting plan for ruck-sack." A Stitch In Time: "I'm from the States, and we tend to be polite when we ask for things." Jihad Joan: "I also in US. This why I need to knit ruck-sack. You have knitting plan?" That was as far as I got. Jihad Joan had her account suspended and couldn't post. I got my missus to log in so I could read the aftermath, and it rumbled on for a few pages. To be fair to Knitter Bug, she did suggest that Jihad Joan was probably a hoax account, but the bitches blamed it on some nice well-to-do lady from Boston whom they had all been ganging up on, and got her banned, too!
Hey mate What mate? I've got a great idea how we can prove we are not the same poster mate Have you mate? Yes mate I can't wait mate, what is it mate? Is it foolproof? Yes mate What is then mate Right mate. Today I will post the newspaper page with the message to Tobes to any address that Tobes stipulates. If I post it first class today it will be there tomorrow ruling out any time for any manipulations. Tobes can then upload it tomorrow together with the envelope showing the Irish postmark and stamp, proving that I couldn't have bought the paper in Kilburn or anywhere else on the mainland UK. What do you think mate? Brilliant mate. Make sure you do exactly that mate because if we deviate in any way they'll crucify us and claim we've been found out. Good point mate. Any idea what the Ferry times are today mate? Can't stop now mate otherwise I'll miss the ferry mate. To me mate. To you mate. No you daft fcuker. To Tobes mate. Mate?
