Agree with this - hope Sheff Wed fluke it. Gives the added bonus of keeping three strong teams in the Championship to ensure that our neigbours at least have some decent games next year.
Talking to a mate earlier who's a Fulham season ticket holder - he reckons they'll lose to Sheff Wed in the final
Thanks guys, appreciate all the (somewhat) kind remarks about us in this thread! This pretty much sums up the feeling amongst our fanbase. We're naturally pessimistic, so we always expect to lose the big game. We don't cope too well with physical teams that close us down (a key reason we won at St James' is the amount of room you gave us to play), and Sheffield Wednesday are a strong team. We need to go up, if just to keep your hands off Tom Cairney.
The same reason they did the double over us - well, that and our ****eness on the day(s). They are a dirty team and will do as much as they can get away with to disrupt your football. If you do play them then you will need to hope for a strong ref.
Best option player - definitely Cairney, damn I hope we sign him! Best team - Sheff Wed, comfortably beat us both times, first time by outmuscling us, second time by just being all round better and creative. They pip Fulham who thumped us at SJP, but were lucky to get the home win.
You guys should more than hold your own next season in the throng of teams from West Bromwich in 8th down to Swansea in 17th. The big gap is between these teams and 7th place. Welcome back to the PL.
