    What the ****.

So much bullshit in this, this bit stands out for me, "Freedom of speech wasn't something Barton allowed the Manchester City trainee when he stubbed a lit cigar out in his face."

Well actually, the trainee had stubbed a lit cigar in Barton in the first place, what Barton done was retaliated, not started something over 'freedom of speech'.

Don't worry lads, he can't even tell that Shearer called Barton "a ****". Which, much beyond my belief, is in fact five letters and not the four stated.

And Barton had already been stamped on by Alex Song, who could well have been sent off. Then, again, this is the sort of incident Barton has escaped from without punishment on numerous occasions.

When did barton stomp a player?

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ome-Joey-Barton-is-a-nasty-piece-of-work.html

Once again you publish an article which defines how incompetent you are as a sports journalist. Everyone in football knows Joey Barton has an ugly past so the backbone of your article is nothing new. The FIFA laws of the game state that a red card will be shown for violent conduct which in this case was ‘raising your hand to an opponents face’. Irrespective of what the opponent does as a result of the violent conduct and in this case was Barton falling to the floor, does it change the sending off. Yes he did go down softly but does that justify an article in a nationwide newspaper inciting the public to hate Joey Barton? His past has been far from colourful and he admits that himself. Lazy journalism is ten a penny these days and it says it all when you’re the Chief Sports writer.

I had the unfortunate experience of reading this this morning as well. Cant begin to explain how ridiculous this article actually is when you consider the fact, Joey Barton was the VICTIM of the incidents we saw on saturday.

Why has Gervinho and Song been totally let off the hook?!? Why? If Song had stamped on Steven Taylor and Gervinho slapped him instead, would Saylor we vilified in this way? Joke journalism.

This Steven Howard may be the worst jounalists I have ever known. Pathetic. 'Cheif Sports Writer', wouldnt wipe my ass with the Sun.

I didn't read all of it, such a hate filled article like that shouldn't be allowed to be published, whether it be online or in the paper.

I'm not sure he ever has and neither did Song. He stood on Bartons calf, there's a big difference. This is par for the course the way things are reported. It wasn't even dangerous what Song did and him and Barton had a good chuckle about it. Just a bit of gamesmanship from Song, Barton did well not to react by slapping him. He's expecting everyone to wind him up now, that's the good thing.

As for this trash reporting, nothing surprises me to be honest, least of all with The Sun. Could he have got any more irrelevant historic events into that piece? I'm loving all this all this anti Joey stuff to be honest, it reflects badly and those spouting it more than anything else.

I'll say it again, if Barton stamped on Song he would have been outed as a dirty ****.

If Barton dived like Gervinho & put his hand up to another's face, he would have been outed as a dirty ****.

    Lose lose situation
