To be fair to Stockdale his comments were very much centred on the Huddersfield manager. Wagner basically said they had a habit of collapsing in the 2nd half of the season. Many of ours on here said the same and suggested they might not even end up filling one of the slots. The below article was up at the time and I recalled it. I remember Liverpool fans all buying "Champions" scarves and wearing them during the infamous slip by Gerrard and Ba racing away and scoring - then Liverpool fans - esp the showbiz fans - were denying they'd done any such thing. And the Liverpool-bias of the media kicked in and the scenes with the champions scarves worn by all and sundry were never EVER shown again
