Dermot says it was handball by the GK but was impossible for the Officials to see it, what they can't see they can't give, it did happen but wasn't seen. More reason for TV replays.
Some fans seem to think they should demand that we hit top form every game. I can understand their frustration but the reality is that is not going to happen no matter how good the players available are. We complained enough about Hull and their lack of ambition. Only to do the same thing ourselves. In my book that makes me think our manager does not think we have the personnel to actually go for it. Although he seems to think we have the defence mechanism. So that would suggest to me he will boost his forward and mid field options during the summer. What say you......
I always will want to win every game, but I know our limitations, it ain't gonna happen. Yes, there is a definite need for reinforcements up front and attacking midfield options. Rather depends on whether Claude stays or a new ownership steps in and makes the decisions, anyone thinking it will be a quiet Summer are in for a big disappointment I am thinking, one way or another.
I so agree with that.........I hope if they are going to make a change of management they do it quickly to give the new bloke a chance to do pre season and to get some more decent players to boost the squad and not to replace. Personally I don't think Puel will be gone.
According to Phil Neville, who?, the Premier League as a whole has been boring this season. A few entertaining matches but generally dull season. The Arsenal match yesterday was not thrilling and they are supposed to be two of the better teams. So Saints are the only ones not entertaining.
Wasn't it him that said the Leicester manager was out of order to want the job permanently? Don't take much notice of any "expert"
But we're not are we?and quite a few of our home games have been mind numbingly dull ( at best). I'm not for Puel out,but I do want entertaining and can't understand why others that want that are being ridiculed.( not a pop at you Archers)
I don't think people are being ridiculed as such for wanting Puel out - I think there's reasonable arguments to be had on both sides. People are ridiculed when they parrot out the same old tired crap, despite not watching a game, because it suits their narrative.
I haven't played for 20 years, and I wasn't very good when I did. But I'm pretty sure I could do at least as good a job of sitting in a studio talking about football as most pundits. Defenders seem to make the best pundits for some reason; Keown, Alan Hanson and, perhaps surprisingly, Rio Ferdinand being three of the best imo.
Here's a thing regarding people saying we were drab yesterday - Mourinho's Man United have failed to score away to any of the top six this season, yet we were discussing recently whether he's one of the top two managers in the division/world. So, y'know... He would have loved how we performed yesterday.
Yeah, I saw that. Not just this season either, his teams have never been prolific away to the top sides - except when Chelsea lost 5-3 at The Emirates.
Having had the pleasure of watching the game now, how the hell isn't Klupp sent to the stands? Bottle throwing, abusing the 4th official, abusing the referee and abusing Redmand but covers his mouth over so no one can see what he called him. Like Redmands retort..."Oh sit down" Great result and performance by eight of the team. Felt sorry for Gabby, he must have been very loanly up there doing nothing other than hopeful runs. Tadic? If I was being polite I would say he flitted in and out just to aggravate Milner and then there was Boufal (enough said)
That one won't go to the video ref because the ball didn't go dead. The FA have already said that they have no intention of stop-starting the game....video replays will be used sparingly in dead ball situations....in this case, it can't be checked as the ref didn't blow and stop the game.
personally I'd like the same manager for 2 seasons running, then at least the players who fall in love with him won't want to leave and join him at West Ham. Of course if they don't like him and leave to join West Ham anyway I'm talking bollocks (it has been known)
But wasn't the linesman, in line when he handled it? Looked like that to me, if he was doing his job right, the GK would have been off. Seems knowadays, the the linos don't have the bottle to do anything about it.
