It was actually blown two years ago when Brucie managed to get us relegated when it was easier to stay up - we could have pushed on in the same way Palace, Stoke, Leicester have - since then we've struggled to keep pace
Fair enough. I can't influence the outcome as I'm not stupid enough to believe in fate, luck or any of that crap. I did also bet on a City win just to be sure, if that helps.
I wouldn't disagree with him, that was our chance and we didn't take it. It would have also made the approach to yesterdays game different, and we would probably have won that one as well.
Whoa whoa whoa I said on the soton natch thread we blew it and every ****er disagreed with me, It was a great point blah blah blah. Silva went negative then. Against Sunderland he wasn't positive enough he needed to make change earlier. N'diaye off half time. Niasse off half time. Hudd and Maloney on. And how the **** he couldn't see growshitski was wasted when he went rm, I don't know. Their rb was the slowest rb I've seen in the pl. he was skinning him constantly. Don't think he went past the lb once. I also thought their two cm's controlled the middle of the park, while Sam and N'diaye appeared to be told to pull out wide all the time.
Silva needed to hook Elmo as soon as it was obvious he was crap! Thats the first time he's disappointed me tactically!
Do you mean on Saturday or just in general? We're pretty tight at right back with injuries, so there aren't too many options to pick from.
Saturday stands out! I know he's not been great for a while but it was obvious he just wasn't at it! I'd have put daws on & played 3 5 2
Who would you have gone with at RWB? Still Elmo but provide him with more cover with the back 3 or maybe Lazar? It's a tough one to get right as we'd be either using an out of from player (Elmo) or a player inexperienced in that position (Lazar or Meyler if he wasn't injured).
We'll never find out, he'll be somewhere else next season. Shame really, he looks a very tidy player to me and it looks like he's finally over the injury that's kept him out for ages.
