It's funny that Klopp is getting so much stick from opposition fans. He's got us 3rd ATM and win our final 2 and guaranteed 4th. Ahead of a team that's worth 3 times as much as our squad and a guy who has 4 30m players in their first team and been taking in CL money for large 20 years.

Has us a point abead of Pep whose first 11 cost probably 4 times as much as ours and have a huge squad.

We have no left back, and with 2/3 injuries to key players still has us in top 4 even when were resorted to having 3 teenagers on bench with barely any first team football.

Was a chart on sky when were creaming over Spurs about net spend and how they've got a 7m net spend in last 2/3 years in comparison to Chelsea which is about 100m, city and united with about 200m. Yet no one mentions Liverpool who with a net spend of £5m were lowest of all, had no CL football to entice better players yet are still challenging with the mega rich and every pundits favourite in Spurs.

Yup were going through a bad patch in last month and went through one in Jan, but Klopp in the whole has us genuinely competing for CL football against sides that should be above us with a squad that is threadbare and lacking in quality in all areas, according to our rivals.

Makes you you wonder how **** Mourinho, Pep and Wenger are considering the squads they have and where they are in the league.

 

It probably will. Followed by his usual third year of totally pissing everyone off at the club!

 

He has had over 1 and 3/4 seasons in the PL now and still doesn't seem to have grasped the fact it's not the 2 team league he is used to.
I don't rate Pep as much as some but expect him to have learnt a lot from his 1 season here.

Best hope so as we all know how the 3rd season is going. Although it's normally season 3 he isolates his players, it's only season one and he's already tried to piss of 3 of your back 4 in smalling, jones and Shaw as well as the 2 he has got rid off in The two Sch's from midfield (and then complains about lack of squad depth )

 

Just think how much money, time, and points they would have saved if they'd listened to me to begin with

So Mourinho on that basis should also know what necessary then? This guy has won the league and spent massive money while Klopp has made money, shipping out dead wood....and yet we are still ahead of you, 10 points better off than last season.

If Klopp gains another 10 points next season, he'll be close to winning it. I'd say he's learnt just fine. Getting top 4 will make a big difference imo. Mourinho will have to spend £300m to try to catch up....and he'll still slag his team off.

You do know this is Jose's first season with us and Klopps second with you?
Jose bought where he knew we needed and gave the rest a chance to prove themselves. Now he knows what;s needed he will sort it
Klopp on the other hand had 8 games short of a full season, was allegedly given a big transfer kitty (plus making a load on sales) and decided you only needed a free transfer CH, a cheap keeper and 2 reasonably priced midfielders. After 3 transfer windows I think it's fair to say he is happy with his squad.

 

Yep, and let's be honest, he has been as wise as an owl for the last 15 years or so. That's why Ozil and Sanchez are so happy

Jose wenger and pep have gotten massive stick. The one thing about wenger and pep is they are in their first season and are getting to know their players.

Klopp on the other hand is pretty much in his 2nd season, he does have a left back but chooses not to play/replace and your lack of squad depth was known in january with coutinho injured and mane fecking off (in terms of your stars ) so again your lack of depth is down to him in my opinion.

Klopp got plenty of praise before christmas when you were smashing it. Since then you have been in a funk so obviously he will get criticised especially when he is blaming the grass and wind x 2.

Spurs on the otherhand is everyones 2nd team as they are pushing chelsea and playing fantastic football so are flavour of the month. Thats stand british media hyperbole.

Overall Liverpool have had a good season if they get cl but baring in mind they havent had any european distractions and you guys stumbling over the line, this feels very much like united city and arsenal underachieving, it feels more like them handing you the cl than you winning it (obviously yoi have earnt it as you have more points)

Calling Moreno a left back is like calling Mourinho humble....

January isn't a good time to buy, we all know that. We can't buy quality players in jan as most are already in CL and won't move out of it or clubs want silly money which we can't afford. No one really strengthens their team in January

The old European distraction, weird how that's only ever really been a thing in 3 seasons in the last god knows how many years. Europe isn't a distraction, it's a privilidge to play in. Calling it a distraction is just a way for teams in it to make an excuse when they do poorly compared to a team not in. Stats suggest that being in Europe gives you a better chance at winning the league than not. Only twice can I think of a team not in Europe winning league which is Leicester and Chelsea. Every other team that's won the league in PL has played in Europe that season. Some distraction...

give me CL and the ability to spend an extra £50m and attract better players than not being in Europe and having to save the pennies a bit and shop on potential and risks any day of the week.

 

Just reiterating what sky said about Spurs. A remarkable job Poch has done with a spend of only £7m compared to those around him (ignoring liverpools spend of £5m in same period of course).

And tbh that excuse does really wash with Maureen, who's had a fair few seasons in England and has seen what ManU had to offer over a number of seasons. Its negative tactics that have held utd back, which is the only way he know how to play.

If Liverpool finish 4th, it will be an achievement considering last season, how thin the squad is (yes that is Klopp's fault), injuries and the lack of quality in certain areas (thats a fault of the club over a number of years)
