Puel bores us in interviews and doesn't provide sound bites for the media....but you don't win points for how you perform in front of the camera.
We have no pace. Start of season teams were coming onto us and we had loads of space to go play with mane exploiting the space in between. Without a Mane we have no pace and it's easy for teams to sit back and unless we hit a worldie we don't create a lot. We ant get wide and cross as no one can head it so teams funnel us out wide but if we decline we have to break through 8 players in space of 20 yards around the box. Weve been so boring without Mane. When he was away at Afcon were boring to watch, same since he's been injured. Unless Cout turns it on, no one in our team is exciting. All just functional.
Wasn't a great game ... Wish we could have been more attacking, but can't complain with a point away at Anfield! Fraser, though
Really determined and committed performance from the Saints. As the game wore on we could have nicked it but they attack never really linked up with the midfield and Cedric in particular had to hoof a lot of balls down the line as he could not find Tadic who may have been better dropping off. Good desire today though
Fraser seems to have been low on confidence, not helped by the attitude of the crowd at St Mary's. With a bit of luck this will kick him back to where he was when he looked like he knew nothing would get past him. After Boruc's little faux pas at Arsenal I'm proud to say that I started a "One Artur Boruc" chant at the next game. May try the same on Wednesday for Fraser. Vin
The narrative from sky was to highlight Liverpools inability against bottom half teams. Fortunately the game started in that narrow window of the weekend where saints were a bottom half side. As you say, sky should just be honest and say against the teams we don't give a **** about, instead of bottom half
I don''t rate him much as a defender, but today with the ball at his feet he was easily our calmest player on the pitch.
Not live, I don't think it is despite the Premier League site indicating that it is, could be just Sky highlights after.
Nah, they'll show highlights from Saturday's games, have a goal of the month competition, a pundits' "knobbly knees challenge", then as the credits are rolling, they'll show Milner running up to take the penalty, but neglect to show that Fraser dived full length to save it, as that wasn't important.
